Physical therapy has greatly improved how I function on a day-to-day basis. The therapy has also help retrain me to do things such as lifting, sitting, and bending so I don't injure my back/spine. Before therapy, I struggled to walk for exercise and could barely walk around my block.
When I began physical therapy I was having extreme difficulty doing everyday tasks; difficulty sleeping through the night and had a constant ache in my left shoulder. My range of motion was very limited. After therapy, I was finally able to sleep through the night and return to doing almost all of my day to day routines with little or no difficulty.

The state of Texas allows you to be evaluated but not treated for an injury without a referral. The easiest route, however, is to get a referral from a primary care, internal medicine, orthopedic or chiropractic doctor. It depends on the severity of your injury and the nature of your condition, but treatment times vary from just under one hour to one hour and 30 minutes.

By definition, physical therapy is designed to address limitation in functional mobility due to a wide range of causes. It can relieve pain, improve mobility, increase strength, enhance performance, decrease risk of future injury and otherwise maximize functional potential. Often, physical therapy can prevent surgery and shorten the recovery period.

Lucky that I stumbled upon EDGE PT thru my doctor when I had a freakish knee injury.
I was pretty much certain I am going to have a surgery based on how I felt days after injury.
6 weeks later I am almost normal & ready to get back to what I love the most, playing soccer with kids.
Both the office staff and therapist were very courteous and very attentive, always ready for feedback.
Dan was the one who assess the extent of injury and recommending the therapy required. He was also helping me with dry needling that reduced the pain a big way.
Taylor and three other staff I worked with, all were

I began physical therapy at Edge in McKinney after a back surgery. I was very impressed with the individualized care that I received. Dane listened to my needs and concerns and went above and beyond to address the issues that I was having. Taylor worked with me on my exercises and would always take the time to chat. It was like having a friend there. My recovery was successful and I would highly recommend Edge to any person recovering from a surgery or a need for PT.

My therapist, Dane Robertson, at Edge was the best. Dane is knowledgeable, kind and caring. This is not saying he didn't push me and put me through the paces that were needed to recover from total knee replacement surgery. It wasn't always easy, but the results are amazing which my surgeon confirmed at my last appointment.
The facility is professional, friendly and clean. Dane was supportive and professional and has a neat sense of humor. I'd also like to mention Tyler who made my visits pleasant with his upbeat personality.
I've finished my therapy and have to say I miss my visits. Edge, Dane

Thank you, Melissa, for being the best PT our family has ever had! We have been with you so many years now and you have earned our trust and respect not only as an amazingly talented PT, but also a trusted advisor and awesome human being. We are so blessed by you! Most recently, this summer and into fall, you have helped me through my challenging cancer recovery. You have given me support, encouragement, as well as much needed manual manipulation, stretches, and dry needling to mitigate the trickiest parts. Thank you for helping me restore my body, thank you for listening to me, and thank you for

I was a patient of Dane’s at Edge for an initial should repair surgery that turned out to be much worse that the surgeon thought. Unfortunately, my repairs were so bad that I had to return to the surgeon for a full replacement of my shoulder. This took place June 7th. Within 2 months, Dane had me in such great condition I was released to play sports and resume most normal activities. I loved the tailored approach for MY therapy and Dane’s drive to push me to be the best in terms of full range of motion. Would 100% recommend Edge, but for sure ask for Dane.

I gave them several warnings about the mask policy. The receptionist, both times, were not wearing masks. They had several patients not wearing masks. There was one patient that was 2 feet behind me that was coughing and wearing and was not wearing a mask. There was even a therapist that was not wearing a mask. This was causing a great deal of anxiety. I notified management and they were not very worried. I decided to leave and find another physical therapy location that can follow basic medical protocol.

Working with Kierra and Freddy was awesome. They were very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I appreciate their efforts in helping me on my path to recovery and giving me the tools to continue therapy outside of their facility. They made it the best physical therapy experience I have ever had and are a great team. Very challenging and fun at the same time. I also appreciated being greeted with a smile by front desk extraordinaire Sandy.
