I called dozens of attorneys when I learned my husband had filed for divorce. There were tons of details to cover, and most wanted hundreds of dollars to even discuss it. I made an appt with another attorney and they wouldn’t let my toddler come in because it violated attorney/client privilege - I don’t even understand. Baker Legal Services (just one guy, who does all the work himself), is everything you could want in a family law attorney. He answers his own phone and is generous with his time. His billing practices are beyond fair, and he's both very upfront about them and reasonable about payment plans. He's honest, compassionate, humane, conservative, intelligent, and honorable. My divorce was a complicated and traumatic one by anyone's standards; Daniel treated me kindly and fairly in a situation where it would have been easy to take advantage, and got a better resolution
