Chinese medicine is one of the world's oldest systems of medicine. It is comprised of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and other holistic modalities. Acupuncture involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into various acupuncture points on the body to re-establish balance within the individual.
Balance method acupuncture uses "distal" points (points found away from the symptomatic location) on the arms and legs to treat the affected area. For example, if a person comes in with low back pain, needles are often put in the ankles and arms, and not the back itself. First, it allows the practitioner to observe the effectiveness of the treatment right away, by having the person move the affected area once the needles are in.
Inner Sage Boston Acupuncture & Wellness, LLC uses a testing company that ships test kits directly to your home. Most people think of allergies as being limited to reactions to environmental or seasonal allergens (dust, mold, pollen, etc). When we think of food allergies, what often comes to mind is a severe peanut allergy that sends someone in to anaphylaxis shock.

Nicole Brown has brought to light issues I could never have seen through a traditional doctor. She has validated my experiences and built trust in a kind and soothing manner. Nicole truly spends time to listen to all of my symptoms and asks thorough questions. Nicole has such a brilliant grasp of womens health that I have not seen in any other doctor. Not only does she have extensive knowledge of both holistic and western medicine, but her judgement on how to apply her practices have been more helpful for me than any doctor I have seen in my life. Nicole truly believed my story and took into account

I have been meaning to review Nicole for a long time...in one word, she is amazing! In fact, I credit her with enabling me to get pregnant at 40 :). While I was a very active, healthy and health-conscious 40, before starting acupuncture with Nicole, my cycles were short (around 3 weeks). My partner and I were having trouble conceiving and I was also was suffering hormonal breakouts after having gone off the pill. I had already seen Nicole in the past for pain from tennis elbow with great results, but hadn't thought of acupuncture to address my fertility concerns. I spoke with Nicole and she recommended

Saw Nicole for anxiety and insomnia as well as some joint pain. We discussed changes to diet, supplements and lifestyle as well as some trigger point therapy. She was knowledgeable and thorough and my issues have become much more manageable. I highly recommend her, not only as an acupuncturist, but as an amazing holistic health practitioner.
