Excellent service, timely, and knowledgable. The tech came out quickly and on time, and fully explained what was needed to make the necessary repairs to the door.
I was familiar with the same fixes that were performed on our second door a few years ago, so I understood what was required.
Everything was in line with what we thought was needed, the… pricing was fair and reasonable, I am absolutely floored with the speed of service and overall genuine kindness of this company.

I had my new garage door opener installed in April and found out today that they did not install the new eyes they were suppose to. I had trouble with garage door not closing and Alan came out and said the problem was in the wiring and I needed an electrician to come fix the problem! I had an electrician come, had to pay $75 and there was nothing… wrong with wiring! I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and I am furious that I wasted that $75. He should have to pay me my money back! I called back and they sent Mark who really was awesome, he noted the problem right away and stayed with

I had them come out to take a look at my garage door, which had problems opening especially in cold weather. They told me I need a new garage door, and quoted $2900. I subsequently called someone else - Colorado Garage Door - they came and said I didn't need a new garage door (and even if I did, it would cost me at most $1900). They replaced the coils and the rollers - for $330 and my door is working perfectly.

Garage door opener wasn't working. Tried everything I know to get it to work. Called GDS and was given a 9-12 window the next day Shaun showed up after 12:30 after I called. He looked it over and said the motor is seized and it needs a new unit. He gave an estimate of $570. We thought that was too high so we paid $21 for the service call and let him go on his way. We called another Garage Door Company and the next day the tech showed up on time and diagnosed the problem was with a misaligned sensor. He adjusted the sensor & got it working in 2 minutes. I feel like the GDS guys are

TOTAL rip off. They charged me a service call, and he never did a thing. All they want to do is SELL you a complete new system. He did not even try to look at or repair my door. They state they carry parts for my model of opener, NOPE!! the tech said they don't carry any parts for my unit. We live at THE VILLAGES, FL. and they knew that...ALL… garages at the villages is a Allstar unit. DO NOT trust them. I tried to call and complain, no one would take the call they just kept transferring me around. Do not let the FAKE photo of the family fool you!!

These scam artists arrived to my house and looked at my door and told me that they would replace just one panel and fix the opener for right around an affordable $3000.
I said, WOW! NO THANKS! They seemed like they were very angry with my response and then told me that I have to pay them $30 for the estimate. The ad I still have from their company clearly states...
"Call Now For Your FREE No Obligation Estimate!"

Avoid them. Had a broken spring fixed on a 5yr old garage door. Everything seemed fine until the Winter and cold hit. Now you need to raise and lower the door 3-4 times each time because it sticks part way up every time. Only happens on cold days. Called to have them fix their install mistake as nothing like this ever happened before they touched it. Now hitting me with the service call fee and "we'll give you the estimate for what needs to get done and you can decide from their". They are there to rip you off...avoid them.

My house burnt down in a fire and I called neighborhood garage door services and spoke to customer service representative named Mandy… She was absolutely incredible… She felt sorry for what happened in my situation and did all she could do to fix my concern… I just got my springs replaced on my garage door 2 to 3 weeks ago and lost my house there after… They refunded me A portion of my cost… I would recommend this company to anyone… Thank you very much

The only reason I'm not giving them a five star is because the first technician they sent out was a nightmare. His name was Fernando Salazar and he was trying to charge my wife 286.00 dollars to repair my garage door. My wife called me at work and had him tell me what was wrong with my garage door. First he told me that the motor needed to be re-adjusted and it would cost 286.00 dollar. when I told him that I didn't pay that much for a new motor he said he could fix the J hook for 150.00 dollars. I asked him how the J hook got damaged because no one in the house has touched it he said

Kevin was on time and did a fine job. He explained all the repairs necessary but let me make up my mind on whether or not I wanted the new rubber wheels and new spring. He let me know how much it would cost for each option & let me get the 'special' price they were offering for the wheels. It was inexpensive and quick. Kevin was very informative and professional. We found their ad in the VALPAK mailing and I gave them a call, but not before doing my research. I was already suspicious because of the one Yelp review with 5 stars, yet, I couldn't find their company on the Yelp site. The ad LOOKS like their name is Overhead Garage Door Repair, but the receptionist reiterated that the name was Garage Door Service. Tried to open my garage door this morning to find one of the main tension springs had broken. Called GDS around 9:30am, they said they'd have someone out by 2pm. Service person (Jake) called 30 minutes in advance of the appointment to confirm. He showed up right on time. Diagnosed problem, had the replacement springs on the truck, make the repair, was finished in 35 minutes. Plus he helped me "pair" my garage door openers to my new car (thank you Jack).
Price was fair, service was great. I will use GDS again!

Should have looked at the reviews before I called. I had a spring that broke and it cost me $1191.00 to fix. One thing led to another...
I called and they could get out asap so I used them w/out looking at reviews which I never should've done
I will say that I thought Joe who installed did a decent job but who knows at this point if it will work well in a couple months/years. I just feel like I was taken for way more money than it should've been to fix a spring
