Koterwas Orthodontics has gone above and beyond to make sure their office is a clean, comfortable and safe area for all of their patients. They take into consideration the wellbeing of their staff, patients and community which cannot be said about most other places in our area. They wear copious amounts of PPE and have even gone as far as finding a… way to avoid spreading other patient's potentially COVID-19 infected germs during the one major aerosol producing appointment (getting your braces off.) To be fair, this recommendation is based on a free consultation I recieved in our journey of searching for an orthodontist for our daughters. It came to my attention that this office doesn't test their employees them unless they are sick. When I asked them why they dont test themselves prior to servicing my children (whom they require to test prior… to working), they simply stated that their "staff is fully vaccinated and have recieved all boosters" but just as they stated in their own recent Facebook post- "people who are vaccinated are still able to become infected with Covid, especially

We started coming to Dr. Koterwas 3 yrs ago with my oldest daughter. We have loved this office and loved everything about Dr. Koterwas & staff!! It was not even a question when our dentist wrote us a referral to seek orthodontic care for our youngest - right away I called Dr. Koterwas and made the appt! My youngest was already familiar with the office & some staff & their friendly dog, Chewie… however, they still treated her super special since now it was her turn in the driver’s seat! Dr Koterwas, and staff are amazing. They’ve gone above and beyond with every appt for our daughter. She struggles with sensory issues and they’ve made sure to do everything in their power to make the experience… a good one! When a scheduling error was made, they fixed it on the spot. Absolutely amazing establishment with more amazing people. I've never felt more welcomed and warm in an office setting. Even with covid they still manage to make you feel safe and well taken care of. I'm 23 with braces and I'm almost sad to get them removed because I will miss the team! It's very bittersweet. FOREVER grateful!

My daughter was a little nervous getting her braces but she left very happy and confident. The staff is very friendly and professional. Emma took the time to thoroughly explain to my daughter how to care for her teeth while having the braces on. Dr. Koterwas is soft spoken which makes for a calming experience. The office manager also worked with me on the payment plan. I came here on the recommendation of a couple friends. I am so thankful for a great experience! Chewy the dog is definitely a plus to the office too!! Thank you Dr. Koterwas and staff!!

This was my first visit to Koterwas Orthodontics in California MD and the experience was awesome. There you will find a relaxing environment, exceptional staff and first class treatment. All my questions were answered and the staff fully explained the processes and procedures as they go along. My consultation ended with me leaving the facility with braces on, for real!. If and when you need Orthodontic services in this part of MD, look no further than Koterwas Orthodontics. Their quality of service, reasonable and flexibly financing in a 5 start environment says it all.

My 8 yr old daughter fell up the stairs, nearly knocking out her front left tooth. As luck would have it, this incident happened late on a Saturday afternoon. Dr. Koterwas opened his office on a Sunday morning so we could put braces on her top teeth in an attempt to save the loose tooth. He was calm, reassuring, and very caring in treating my daughter. Because of his willingness to go above and beyond my daughter's tooth appears to be healing well and will be saved. I am very grateful for the care she has received and would definitely recommend Dr. Koterwas to family and friends.
