Services
Recovering from a recent hospital stay following an injury or illness can come with many challenges. Often times, a family member, based on their experiences caring for loved ones at home, believe that certain changes require hospitalization. However, while true for the elderly living at home, one of the advantages of having your loved one in our care is our ability to respond and manage virtually any need they have - now and in the future.
I am so glad my father is a resident here. Words can't express how grateful I am to the entire staff for ensuring that he stays engaged, healthy and happy. Thanks for all that you do! Mom is so happy and thankful that we moved her here, and we're very thankful to the staff and the residents for being so understanding and helpful.
My name is Andre E., I reside at the Fort Myers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as a long term resident. I am writing on behalf of the new ownership of Premier Healthccare. I would like to commend their efforts in making Fort Myers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center a better facility! They are changing lives giving the residents hope for a better life.
Whether as a result of a trauma, disease, stroke, surgery or chronic condition, when mobility, function or cognitive abilities are impaired, rehabilitation is often the pathway to recovery, renewed independence and quality of life. We have been serving the health care needs of seniors in our area for more than two decades.
For those recovering from heart disease and/or cardiac-related surgery, our cardiac rehabilitation program can help them achieve optimum recovery and health. Goals include limiting the physical effects of cardiac illness and improving overall cardiovascular fitness. Further, we educate all staff members to be vigilant regarding changes in our cardiac patients' condition, which has proven to be an effective step in reducing re-hospitalizations.

This by far the worse place I’ve seen. There no compassion what so ever. My mother has fell at least twice that we know of. And they tell her she better not tell anyone about. That she didn’t fall. She just slipped down. Not sure at 84. There’s a difference. Her arms have all the skin pulled off and blood blisters on her hand were they drag her back up. Her bed has been broke for two weeks. And can’t get in and out. With out help. But when she ask for help. They get mad that she ask. Then make her wait for hours to help. I could go on and on. If I could give this place a minus 5. That’s

No one saw this happen. NO ONE called family to let them know. Thank God for friends that work at Hospital for letting me know he was injured.
4th day in....my 90 year old father falls out of wheelchair hits back of his head, yet somehow manages to climb backup into his chair according to what they told Lee Memorial ER Doc. Nurse here stated he is at risk for falling.....I'd think so since he was posied down for 25 days in Hosp.

One star only because there was not a choice for -100.
Horrible staff and it starts at the top. Ms Russ is condescending, rude, uninformed of patient stats, on and on. Please do not allow anyone to become a patient here.
My family member was there for two months during COVID lock down so we were not able to check on her. After two months of Rehabilitation there she was sent to the hospital with a UTI, Pneumonia, Severely Dehydrated, Brusied and Battered.
This facility and staff members will be held accountable.
AGAIN DO NOT ALLOW FAMILY, FRIENDS, OR ANYONE SPEND EVEN ONE DAY HERE.

They called to say they were evacuating my grandfather from this facility due to an impending hurricane. They did not move him. Then they called to say they changed his room because he was overheating because they didn’t have generators and left him in a hot room for days. They’re negligent and he died in their care because they make it so hard to get anyone out of this horrid place. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND.

Please! Find another place for your loved one. They are ALL about the money and what they can charge medicare. The doctor that is on staff (horrible) goes around from bed to bed checking patients, puts his stethoscope on their chest for 2 seconds and moves on, he could care less about the people, and what he charges to medicare is a rip off of tax payer dollars!
After a week we were ready to come home and they wanted to collect another day of medicare payments and made us wait 5 to 6 hours before we could officially check out! There were 2 other families waiting in the waiting room with us watching

Do not let anyone you care about come here! This place is not sanitary! Everything is old and dirty. The staff does not care for the patients here. They are only here to collect a check. They refuse to give a bed pan to patients after second shift. They'd rather just let you sit in your urine. The patient is supposed to have her legs up to reduce swelling but they will not give her anything to put her legs up. Personal belongings keep coming up missing. If you have algeries don't expect them to care. They bring food you are not able to eat and could careless if you eat or not. While visiting someone

I couldn't agree more with the last review. Iexperienced everything that he has mentioned and more. Asked for a doctor for over a week and you never did see one. Ended up calling 911 and have been in hospital as of this post,,, almost 3 weeks. This place should be closed up. I had feces on my pillow and put there in a convenient manner. Someone called dcf because what i had told them and dcf said wasn't enough physical evedince,,,,,unbelievable.
