Services
Our two sons have gone to Home Day Cares since birth, so when we decided to explore the option of a center, we were a little hesitant. So, we asked around and were given the names of many places and decided to start touring them. Before we would go on a tour, I utilized the State of Delaware's website to check out the noncompliance and standards/regulations complaint reports on each place.
A two year old child has the world at their fingertips. They are curious, energetic, becoming more expressive of thoughts and feelings, expanding their vocabulary and language skills, becoming more independent, beginning to socialize with their peers and developing an increased coordination of their motor skills while exploring and discovering the world around them.
The Funsteps Preschool Program starts with our focus on the whole child and their individual needs. Our goal within this program is to identify, build and develop each child's cognitive, social, emotional and physical strengths and interests.

Funsteps Preschool & Childcare Inc offers 2 educational Kindergarten Readiness Programs - a four year old Pre-K class and a five year old K-Prep class. Both classes have a philosophy that children learn best through a combination of direct instruction of concepts and skills and hands on experiences in educational and discovery centers.
Funsteps is dedicated to the development, education and care of school age children during their out-of-school hours. Funsteps provides an environment for school age children to relax, enjoy the company of their friends, release some energy and unwind from their regular school day.
Funsteps Preschool and Childcare Center is located in the Christina School District and has district transportation to and from WILSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND NEWARK CHARTER SCHOOL.If your child attends an alternate elementary school, transportation would need to be provided. The large and cheery school age classroom is a safe place for school agers to learn and play.

This childcare center is a really awesome facility from a physical aspect. The outdoor play area is exceptional. However, there are a lot of issues in this daycare. First there are always staffing issues. Either staff calls out, staff is on leave, or staff resigns. My child has had several teachers in her class this year. The teachers here are very young, very unprofessional and honestly they don't really know how to address parents. Teachers are always on their cell phones snapping pictures of children, which I thought was illegal without the parents' permission. Also certain parents
