Texturz Hair Studio opened in 2003 in Duluth, Georgia, and is in fact the second salon owned by Michelle McCloud-Thompson. Michelle's initial salon in Norcross, Georgia was Shearz Hair Design. Her haircare educational career began in 1984 at Gordon Phillip's beauty school in Philadelphia and in 1991 Michelle moved to Atlanta and opened Shearz Hair Design after working at various other salons.

Daijya gave me the best silk press I had in years! She is very knowledgeable about hair and how much heat to use to prevent damage. She is also very gently with natural/curly hair! She is kind, and professional. I had a great experience with her. I have finally found my forever stylist! The owner Michelle is an excellent stylist also. She cut my hair in its natural state. I was very impressed with the outcome after it was straightened. These women are awesome! I'm so in love with my hair again. Thanks Daijya!

I am VERY picky when it comes to my hair care. When I moved to GA, I did my research on hair stylist in Gwinnett County. Texturz Hair Studio is listed as one of the top, and rightly so. Everyone there is warm, friendly, and professional. I’ve yet to be disappointed in the service I receive, and I’m confident I never will. As long as I’m a GA resident, only the ladies at Texturz can touch my hair.

I was a little nervous about going to a beauty salon after not going for 28 years. Michelle made me feel at ease by explaining my options and talking me through every step. She was on time, efficient, ensured that I was comfortable even though she had two other clients. She cut and styled my hair beautifully. I've since received many compliments on my cut and style.

Owner did not deliver the services stated. The cut was done in the shape of a bowl and not blended I have great hair after I left my texture was harsh and brittle and I had bald spots from the clippers.I was so thrilled when I first tried the shop Geez...The staff was friendly as a whole. I learned from this...ASK questions first to make sure everyone is on the same page as to what is the desired outcome

Michelle is the best hairdresser I have ever been to. She colored my hair and I love it. She is very knowledgeable about hair and she took the time to educate me about how well to take care of my hair. Her salon is clean and what I love most about her is how profesdional she is. Michelle/Owner and her team are amazing!! I received the best service and loved the warm atmosphere. Michelle is not scissor happy, which is rare, and gives you just what you want. Christina-stylist in training, gave me the best shampoo!

I received a phyto relaxer from Michelle. I absolutely love it! It's all natural and I can see the amazing difference from Mizani. Michelle was so nice and welcoming to myself and my mother. We are new to GA and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable and then took the time to explain difference of phyto relaxer versus Mizani. She also explained each step from applying the relaxer, wash and conditioning, and styling. She also explained and let us feel each styling product she used and made excellent suggestions of what products to use at home. It really meant a lot
