It will help you see the various services we are able to offer you. It all started back in 1919 when George & Mary Grunnagle opened the Funeral Home on the corner of 3rd & San Benito Streets.
What about cremation? Cremation is the predominate form of final disposition of the dead in many foreign countries. In countries such as England, Japan, and China nearly all funerals are followed by cremation. In the United States about 25% of people arranging funerals choose cremation.
Several 'packages' which we offer are: 'Immediate Cremation' without ceremony, or embalming; Immediate Cremation followed by a 'Memorial Ceremony' (religious or otherwise) or a 'Traditional Funeral Ceremony' with embalming and visitation, utilizing a rental/cremation casket with insert.With Grunnagle's being the most favored Funeral Home in San Benito County our services are prepared and priced fairly with you in mind.

No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).
