Kornfield Marc J MD PC
Our mission at Marc J. Kornfield, MD, PC, is to provide coordinated, comprehensive multi-disciplinary rehabilitation to individuals suffering from chronic pain syndrome. We have developed a functional restoration model addressing physical conditioning, body mechanics and ergonomics. The program addresses proper medication use and the psychological, social and vocational barriers to recovery.

We have the components that require less intensive treatment to prevent chronic pain and long-term disability.

I was not a long term patient and did not experience the bad interactions some have written about. I needed pain management while I lost weight for surgery. Dr. Kornfield listened, asked relevant questions, and worked with me to manage the chronic pain with minimal narcotics. I would go back him if I ever needed pain management again.

I can't believe some of these negative reviews. I truly cannot find anything negative to say about this office. I have been a patient for 2 years and I tell everyone that Dr. Kornfield saved my life. He made my pain manageable for the first time in years and despite numerous significant medical problems, I am able to enjoy my life again and be happy. I see him every 4 weeks and he asks for full updates from each of my other appointments. He always evaluates whatever I update him on and is eager to look at any new records. I have a unique case and I truly feel like he wants to solve it and he genuinely

Bad reviews are accurate! He has his own agenda. Doesn't matter what is best for the patient. Refused to prescribe a compound pain cream. The only intelligent person who works there, is the therapist. As long as you do what he says, without question, your fine. I questioned his actions and his erratic behavior. Walking away from that place was the best thing I ever did for myself.

Insensitive, rude and non-communicative. Discounts patient input as though it were irrelevant. Has his own agenda, and it doesn't have to be helpful to the patient--only to his practice.

So sorry to see these sad reviews. Really wish his other long term patients would also take the time to defend Dr K. My husband and myself have been patients of this clinic for 15 years. There were some staff at the beginning that I did not always see eye to eye with, but thank goodness positive changes were made, and those staff have left . The staff remaining are for the most part caring, compassionate and invested . I will admit it's difficult to get much response, if the Dr happens to be out of town, but most of his long term patients have learned ways to work around this process , try to be

Years ago, I was brand new to field of pain management drs. Unfortunately, I landed at his office. Bottom line, after at least a year of his "treating" me, he suddenly changed my meds and I ended up at the ER, because I couldn't breathe, the same day. The ER I went to was shotty and by the next morning, I suddenly came to, after being unconscious (medical fact), I literally couldn't breathe! Through the grace of God, when I came to for less than a minute, I heard that wee small voice that said "just dial 911! You dont have to speak, they'll come!" I literally couldn't breathe or call my roommate

If I could mark no stars, I would. I am. Registered Nurse at Wellstar. I am in charge of my 28 bed unit on the night shift for about 20 years.

On our first visit to Dr Kornfield my daughter is severely disabled. She saw the Dr who significantly decreased her pain meds. She also saw a counselor who was wonderful but told us on the second visit, she was not sure why Dr. K wanted her to see my daughter. So I want back to the front desk which are the rudest, uncaring personnel I've ever encountered. We were so confused. His nurse getting us to a room had such a bad attitude, I asked her

I would give no stars if possible. It was the biggest waste of time and money. During my 1st visit I am 99% sure he and his nurse violated HIPPA. A nurse kept coming in the room, interrupting my initial consultation and discussed another patient several times in front if me! He does not read nor care about patient history, he automatically ASSUMES that you are going to be a long term patient, on the 2nd visit I waited 2.5 hrs and once the test he performed on my upper extremities was complete, refused to answer any questions once I refused to have unnessary test on my lower extremities. A total waste of my time and money. He didn't really listen to nor addressed my concerns. His one stop shop treatment plan is just a way to bill insurance companies for multiple service. All of which are delivered poorly. PT aides were a joke, lacking appropriate skills. The therapist is the only person who listened. Yet, I didn't feel is was necessary. The experience I've had in all my years.

I've been going to this practice for many years for chronic pain. While I do like Dr. Kornfied and Markie (my counselor), the office staff is just plain awful. When I was trying to get medical records for my disability claim, I was told by one staff member that I would be fired from the practice if I demanded my medical records! Also, there is never anyone in the checkout window, and you must stand in line in the hallway where there is no privacy to conduct your business. The front office receptionist is always paying more attention to his cell phone and talking loudly and in detail about

Dr. Kornfield and his treatment staff are the best. At first I did not like him. Now I know that he is just very direct, and does not put up with lies to get more pills. He really cares about your health. He keeps you on the lowest dose possible and has wonderful counselors and physical therapists who teach you how to manage your pain without becoming a junky. I was on so many pills from another pain dr. that I lived in a haze. He helped me get down to where I could parent my kids again and stop scaring my family. His reception staff could use some customer service training. His professional staff
