You might see Peggy driving bulldozers, walking on construction girders, paving roads, or picking warehouse orders. She may be assessing the job demands of someone who's been injured, or offering ideas to keep the employee safe and productive when they return to work. Or she could be using her extensive fieldwork experience to help healthy workers stay that way.
Comprehensive and objective assessment of the injured person's current work capabilities and limitations. This systematic and widely-accepted evaluation process helps determine someone's ability to return to a specific job. If that original job isn't available, then we can determine their capabilities and limitations for returning to a different job.
An objective, standardized calculation method approved by the American Medical Association. Although many physicians do their own impairment ratings (PPD), when requested, The Freedman Group can provide this evaluation and report.

The impairment rating is a separate objective evaluation of a patient's permanent physical impairment based on data collected either during the FCE or during a separate evaluation in addition to a thorough review of the medical records. These are based on "The American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment" published by the American Medical Association.
We go to the person's home to determine what modifications are medically necessary to accommodate their limitations. A Home Assessment is the skillful identification of problems and the art of solving problems with Activities of Daily Living, Homemaking Tasks, Medication Management, Architectural Barriers, etc.
The purpose of a Job Site Assessment is to determine the Essential and Non-Essential tasks performed in a job. With the use of the Job Site Assessment the employer will understand how to match a worker's physical work abilities to the needs of the job. Once the Essential Functions have been outlined, then the physical demands to perform these tasks need to be outlined.
