Born just a year before the Great Depression hit in 1929, Jack Miklus' earliest memories are of his father, who, like everyone at that time, was out of work, tending to the flowers in his garden. So when he was looking for additional revenue to support his family of six in the late 1960s, he was delighted to find extra work delivering flowers as a side job.
Ties to the local community are integral to the Miklus family. In addition to being active in the chamber of commerce, they share their talents with others in the area, providing free flowers to the Ursuline and Carmelite nuns as well as to the American Cancer Society Cleveland Hope Lodge.
Jim is an active member of the Callistian Guild of the Catholic Cemeteries Association, which provides a full, honorable and dignified burial service to the poor.He also is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and is on the Beautification Committee in Mayfield Heights.

Miklus Florist provided flowers for my wedding and i was absolutely thrilled with every aspect of what they did for me. Mr.Miklus listened to everything i was looking for and was thoughtful with suggestions on how to bring my vision to life. Everything from bouquet, centerpieces , boutonnieres were stunning ! This place is a scam that takes advantage of their proximity to the hospital. There are no price tags on anything. By the time you choose and check out you learn that orchids that cost $10 anywhere else cost $70 here. The lady running the place asks whether you want a receipt and only if you say yes (or later when you check your CC statement) you learn that you just paid 7X what any reasonable establishment would charge. This is obviously done by design. Like I said a scam to take advantage of your emotions if you’re buying for the sick. Skip this place and go to Mark’s across the street from

We used Miklus for our bridal shower & wedding flowers and could not of been happier with their service. The flowers were gorgeous and everyone complimented us on how they looked. Multiple people asked to take the centerpieces from the wedding home. Miklus was not only affordable, but they were also so accommodating. Jim was a pleasure to work with and was able to capture my vision for my wedding flowers while still staying within my budget. The quality and service of Miklus florist is top notch, I would definitely recommend them!
