At River Valley Dental, many of our patients come from surrounding communities throughout the Hadley area, including Hadley, South Hadley, Amherst, Northampton, Belchertown, Hatfield, Chicopee, and Ludlow. Our practice is right off Route 9, between the bridge to Northampton and the malls. In addition, we're just down the road from the Hadley Post Office, Easthampton Savings Bank, Central Rock Gym, Leon's Auto Sales, and Goodwin Memorial Library.

Tl;dr they didn't do a thorough exam and missed my gingivitis.
I went to RVD in march, pre-covid. I waited a while to be seen and received a very minimal exam. They essentially took x rays and used a mirror to look at my teeth. I had made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned, but the dentist told me he didn't have time to clean my teeth. Everyone seemed annoyed that I was even there.
I also pointed out an area where I was having pain in my mouth, and after a single cursory look, they told me it was nothing and I should wear my retainer more. I moved away from Hadley recently and saw another

I stopped going here 3 years ago after the dentist couldn't care less about taking care of me and would have rather flirt with his assistant. The filling didn't get done properly and less then 2 years later broke and fell out. Had to get it fixed at another dentist which then turned into a root canal and crown.
If they would have done their job in the first place it wouldn't have been an issue.
I will NEVER return to them and I suggest never go there.

Attended my first appointment here last week when an old crown popped loose. When I called, I expected to be told I'd have to wait a long time to see anyone because I'm not an established patient. They were able to see me the very next day, and I have a follow-up appointment scheduled for my routine checkup and cleaning this coming week, so I was impressed with that because the receptionist initially told me they were booking out to 6 weeks, but there was a cancellation.

Recently had a tooth related issue that started on a weekend. Called the office first thing Monday morning at 8 am, the ladies at the front desk are angels and they had me in a chair within the hour. This is a wonderful office, with some amazing employees, and the best dentist I have ever had in my life. He went out of his way and performed a procedure immediately to alleviate the pain and address the issue. Did I mention I had a Root Canal? Didn't feel a thing. Hands down this was the best experience one could ask for when visiting a dentist office. I have recommended this office to my friends

Outstanding customer service. I chipped a tooth and couldn't book a dentist at my normal place. River Valley Dental came highly recommended by a colleague so I called to request an appointment. They were able to see me right away. The receptionist Hope was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. The staff performing the exam were equally as approachable, and, to my relief, noticeably competent. I highly recommend them!

I was a new patient to this practice. I only ended up at RVD because my previous dentist sold her practice and I saw that RVD had great reviews.
I went in for a cleaning and was told that I have periodontal disease. I have never had any issues with my teeth, and have always been faithful with dentist appointments. I gave RVD the benefit of the doubt and had the scale/root deep cleaning that they recommended, but only after being reassured that it would be covered by my insurance. Well... my insurance company is not covering it because they find no evidence of periodontal disease in my Xrays

I have had nothing but great experiences at this dental office. Val, my dental hygienist does the most thorough dental cleaning I’ve ever had. She clearly takes pride in her job and is a great patient educator as well. I have had a few fillings done now with Dr. Gojgini which were quick and essentially painless.

Driving up the first time...a beautifully restored and updated farmhouse with impressive and peaceful views of clouds and blue sky from my dental chair.
Liz conducted a most supportive and sympathetic exam and later a cleaning.
The Doctor was warm and friendly and very efficiently looked and seconded all of the hygienist's observations. Every one of my concerns were answered.
I even got a rebate coupon for the new electric toothbrush I purchased (mine had broken 3 days before my first visit).

Needed to come in on an emergency basis. Hope booked it and Dr. Gibbons and her assistant took care of the issue. All of this was done professionally, with the greatest of courtesy and technical care. I was informed that Dr Gibbons is leaving the practice. That is a tremendous loss for her patients! She is a superb dentist technically and has winning personality. Her manner makes patients feel less worried about what is about to happen to them. She will be missed. I would advise the practice to find someone with her superior traits or I may have to look for a new dental office! Best of luck Dr

First dental appointment with River Valley Dental was the best dentist visit I have ever had. Just moved to this area and was dreading planning a visit to the dentist. I felt so welcomed from the minute I called the office to book my appointment. Jenny was my hygienist and she was great! She was very knowledgeable and gentle while cleaning my teeth. I have only good things to say about the staff at River Valley Dental--they truly are above and beyond any other experiences I've had at dentists over the years. Every single person there that I had interactions with is professional, kind, friendly, and attentive. The receptionists were able to get my appointments scheduled in a very timely manner. Dr. Gibbons and Jenny, my hygienist, are both wonderful--always communicative, gentle, and so skilled at what they do. I do recommend them to anyone who's looking for a dentist in the area, and I'm really happy to have found such a great practice.

I have NEVER liked going to the dentist because of some bad experiences in the past, at other practices. I had another bad experience in recent times, so I explained my anxiety to Dr. Humphrey and his assistant, Cheryl. They have put me at ease and are pretty funny too. I love everything about this pair and even though I still have anxiety going to the dentist I know that it will be better because of seeing them. Today I had an anxiety attack in the middle of my procedure. They helped me get control and were very sweet about it. In the past I have been made to feel bad, at other practices. I love
