Services
Positioned in the heart of downtown Asheboro, Prevo Drug was established in 1972 by Jim Prevo. Not too long after that, Stan Haywood joined him, and together they turned Prevo Drug into the go-to pharmacy for the county. Ashley and Ken Duggins bought the store in 2013, and have continued to grow Prevo while still providing excellent customer service and individual attention to each person who walks through the door.
Ashley Duggins, PharmD and owner of Prevo Drug, had a vision of a healthier community here in Randolph County. Being a pharmacist, she knows that medication can be life changing, life-saving, and necessary. However, when founding Prevo Wellness, her focus was on preventative healthcare, education, and lifestyle changes to prevent the need for lifetime, sometimes very costly, medications.
Immunizations are essential to disease prevention, and we are happy to be able to offer a variety of immunizations and vaccines here at Prevo Drug. Many of these are covered under insurance and are available daily, without an appointment. This list does not include vaccinations available for international travel.
Here at Prevo Drug, we want to make your trips as easy and quick as possible, because we know our customers have busy lives. This is why we offer Medication Synchronization (MedSync) to our customers at no extra cost to you. We also offer health coaching to our customers who need or want extra care each month.
At Prevo Drug, we know for some people, it can be hard to get out and run errands. We want to help make your life easier, which is why we offer free local delivery to our customers. Why order online when you can order your prescriptions from us? Our friendly delivery driver, Dean, can drop off your medications, along with any needed over the counter products, with no extra hassle to you.

Transferred my prescriptions here due to poor customer service at CVS thinking that small town pharmacy would be better. however, I was wrong! First month went well. Second month medications cost almost doubled. And apparently it was due to my insurance. I explained to the rude woman on the phone that it was cash price. My insurance didn’t cover these meds anyway. And that my insurance had sent a new card with an Rxbin number and group they replies “we don’t take discount cards”. So I was expected to pay double the price. Meanwhile the woman has a nasty attitude and 0 phone customer service

Prevo Drug In Asheboro .I,m sorry I don't facebook.I Don't do to many reviews.So I had a couple of not good experience.I went on Google And gave them a 2 star review.I do feel that they try to give fast service.I know the way I was treated they could do much better.I was going to give them that chance,But Ken seen my little 2 star review,Why Ken? Ken call me today.He said "Take down your review or I will not fill your meds anymore,and good luck getting your pain meds.I'm posting this hear and on Prevo Drug Facebook.Bet it don't last long there.

I’ve been a customer at another pharmacy for years but the other day I stopped in at Prevo to get some medicine for my young child. They were so helpful and friendly helping me find a medicine that was safe for her age and with the medications she was already taking. Looks like I’ll be switching pharmacies!

Love Prevo Drug. Friendly staff and excellent service. Ashley helped to compound special pain medication when my son broke his leg so that giving him pain medication wouldn’t be a struggle. I’ve also had a recent change in prescription coverage and they contacted the doctor several times to get me the most affordable and effective asthma medication. You guys rock.

If you’re looking for a pharmacy with fast and friendly service...you should give Prevo Drug in Asheboro a try! They are the complete opposite of the big chain pharmacies! Ashley Duggins and her entire staff are nice, knowledgeable and are always there to help you out and will have you taken care of in a matter of minutes! As a mother of 2...who has time to sit and wait and wait and wait when you have sick kiddos? Not me...and at Prevo they take excellent care of their customers and get you in and out! Give them a try!!!!

I love being a customer at Prevo! I recently switched to Prevo because I was not pleased with a previous pharmacy and I’m SO GLAD I did. I’m greeted by name every time I come in and they immediately make sure that I’m being taken care of. I just love the family that owns a Prevo. They make everyone in there feel like a VIP customer. I’ve also found that their prices are often lower than big name pharmacies and I love not having to wait forever for a prescription to be filled. I’ll definitely be sticking with them!
