Jeanette earned her Bachelor's in Psychology at St. Mary's College of Maryland which afforded opportunities for travel, including a semester in Australia. She later earned her Master's in Social Work from Salisbury University which included practical experience with addiction treatment, work with homeless and at-risk populations.

Empowered Connections was founded in 2013 by Deborah Duley, MSW, LMSW, with a rebellious spirit and a big dream of connecting women & girls everywhere through specialized mental health therapy. We strongly believe that women need connection to heal and that where you have been, so have we. Where your story is our story!
Collectively, we have spent the last 25 years working with women in many capacities as a womens rights activist, a crisis interventionist, grief counselor and a domestic violence recovery counselor. These years of experience have given us a unique conception of how to help women more effectively and efficiently and we incorporate this into our therapy journey with our clients.
These are just some of the signs that she could benefit from having one of our girl experts work with her one-on-one. We have a special place in our practice for girls aged 8 years to 18 years old. We have girl experts on staff who are waiting to help your daughter utilizing our unique approach of empowerment, connection and therapy.
We embrace this view wholeheartedly and are passionate about showing each and every client we work with, that the relationship between therapist and client is where the healing begins. As lifelong allies and advocates for our LGBTQ+ community (we think of them as our "family"), we are honored to work with you in a safe, nonjudgmental, connected environment.
