I believe that you have the internal tools to navigate any problem. Sometimes we just need a little help to bring it forward. My purposeful questions and insightful guidance will help you connect with your best self, allowing you to unlock solutions to the challenges you face. In my practice I utilize a strengths-based approach.
I love working with people to reach their goals in a variety of ways. I provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and groups. The counseling process allows us to establish rapport, examine the challenges you are experiencing, develop goals, and work towards those goals over time. Mediation services can help promote productive communication and help people establish an acceptable solution.
Individual counseling is a powerful tool when you want to work on personal goals. My goal as a counselor is to identify and build on your strengths. I want to help you define your goals, examine your strengths and resources, and figure out what's holding you back from moving forward in a positive direction.
One of the most challenging life transitions is the addition of a child to your life. Many women find themselves overwhelmed and ashamed or embarrassed to ask for help. Are you pregnant and worried about the challenges of raising a baby? Are you working with a surrogate or adoptive family and worried about the connection to your child?
Group work can be powerful in helping people feel connected and validated. Often we feel like we are the only ones struggling with an issue. This is simply not true! The issue is that most people do not admit when they are having problems for fear of being vulnerable. Admitting weaknesses or struggles opens us up to vulnerability.
