Pennsylvania uses state inspections and emissions tests to determine whether vehicles emit harmful pollutants that damage the environment. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires an emissions test for cars, SUVs or trucks which were manufactured after 1975 and weigh less than 9,000 lbs. As an Emissions Testing Station, we are accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The engine is the heart of your car and the last place where you want to have problems. A number of signs can signal engine problems, including everything from excessive smoke from the tailpipe to excessive oil use. Often, the first sign of trouble is when the "Check Engine Light" comes on. The Check Engine Light comes on in response to the sensors that monitor the car's functions.
Vehicle maintenance and repairs go hand-in-hand but probably not in the way you think. Providing the necessary preventive maintenance on your vehicle helps prevent or extend the time you drive before needing repairs. Taking your car to King's Automotive today is the best way to keep your car running smoothly and operating optimally for a long time to come.
It isn't just the frequency of the oil change that differs. It's also the type of oil used. Today, there are synthetic oils, synthetic blends, high mileage, and conventional oils available to meet a wide range of vehicle needs. Every manufacturer recommends the right type and frequency of oil change for each vehicle.
In spite of all the newest technology used to make cars safe today, nothing protects you, other drivers and even pedestrians more than your brakes. It's easy to take your brakes for granted and assume they'll always work for you whenever you need them. The best time to have your brakes serviced is before they stop working efficiently or they begin to make noises to alert you that there's a problem.

I've been going to King's for years to keep my now 25-year-old car running. They've always treated me with great respect and have never tried to do any repair that wasn't absolutely needed. Such honesty and integrity is greatly appreciated -- oh, and they usually get the service done in record time, which is a huge bonus. Special shoutout to Greg for taking such good care of my classic Ford Probe!

What a satisfying experience in car repair. I gave up on the dealer that sold me my Mini Cooper. Going to them for service was just awful. This year I decided to break free. I don't think it was more than 24 hours since I made my appointment for annual service, then I got my car back. Greg was very helpful and their facility was so well maintained and clean. I will definitely go back to them and recommend them to others who are looking for a superior car repair experience.

Great, friendly, helpful bunch of people. They communicate clearly what the problem is and the solutions to fix it. They do not hide any pricing. They all seem to really care about their customers and their customers' vehicles. My family has been using them for over 5 years with no problems. We really trust them. So happy we found them.

I was planning to sell my one vehicle on a Saturday. Thursday night came and my only other vehicle wouldn't start. I tried to get it working myself all night to no avail. I called King's Automotive first thing Friday morning and explained the situation. They told me to get it towed in and they'd take a look right away. By that afternoon they had been able to diagnose what was wrong and I got the call Saturday morning (while selling my other vehicle) that the car was done and ready for pick up. Very polite people there and extremely helpful. I will definitely be taking my car back there again.

I've always found King's Automotive to be efficient, fair, and reasonable with regard to prices for service and parts. They recently did an inspection, oil change, and various other small repairs on my Volvo wagon, all of which were done well and in a timely manner. Previous repairs have involved brakes and larger projects, and those too were done well. And they are upfront about the costs. The personable staff, including the owner, also communicate with you effectively to let you know the status of your repair. I would definitely recommend King's.
