A broken spring is one of the most common reasons why your garage door will not open. The weight of the door determines the size and numbers of springs. We always recommend replacing all the springs on the door to get your full cycle/years of lift. Basic function of the spring is to lift the door. The opener does not lift the door it remotely guilds it up and down.

GDS gave us the lowest bid. Did the install on the date and time agreed on, left the seal off so I could paint the door. James also adjusted one of my other garage doors for free. After painting my door, James came back and installed the door seal. Professional, courteous, polite. Hopefully we won’t need another door, but if we do GDS will be my only call.

James at GDS called ahead and showed up right on time. The motor that GDS installed for us a little over a year ago had an issue and James wasted no time replacing it free of charge. Normally you would expect to pay for labor on a warranty issue, but not here. James even apologized for the motor issue. I was impressed with the level of service provided. Thank you James and GDS!

This review is long past due as I should have posted this immediately after my experience and simply was overwhelmed at the time.
I would NEVER recommend this company. Not only was the installer incredibly rude about snow in my driveway when he installed mid-winter but my doors are completely useless. I am 5'5" and have to duck my head to walk into my garage.
When quoted and deposit paid, there was no mention of any adjustments to door height. When he arrived to install, he said he would need to drop the opening by four inches. My previous door opened flush to the frame of the opening. By the
