Bozeman, Montana-based physical therapist Dr. Pakula is a stand-out in musculoskeletal pain treatment and has a proven track record of quickly helping clients recover from back, neck, migraine, and headache pain. She uses holistic evaluations to identify and treat the underlying causes of conditions like arthritis, muscle weakness and imbalances, joint and muscle pain, tendinitis and bursitis, and more.
There are many contributing factors in musculoskeletal pain, including lack of mobility in the thoracic spine for neck and shoulder pain, dysfunctional breathing for lower back pain, and excess muscle tension for headaches. Lower back pain can be influenced by a failure of the diaphragm to perform respiration and core stability simultaneously.
Dr. Amy Pakula helps to relieve back pain, neck pain, headaches, and migraines with hands-on physical therapy and helps her clients change their thought patterns around injury. Dr. Pakula guides clients to restored mobility and pain reduction using proven techniques and a unique, education-based process.
Each year in Bozeman, we partner with pain specialists, other physical therapists, and movement experts to offer events and workshops that give you the knowledge and empowerment to take control of your health. Our small group setting delivers programming to help you reduce pain, increase mobility, and learn how to recover faster.

When I first saw Amy, I could hardly move for the sake of back pain. She worked with me slowly at first, giving time to heal and permission to be still. Then we worked in exercises incrementally until I had full range of motion. I still do stabilization exercises(they are so easy) and I'm so grateful to have my full active live back. Amy is easy to talk to and attentive to the details. She was respectful of my concerns and my anxiety. She was exactly what I needed.

After trying various options to address my sciatica pain, including multiple physical therapists and even surgery, I found Amy and have been amazed at my progress. She helped me understand the psychology of my back pain and how I could look at it differently. Through her hands-on approach and exercises I quickly saw improvement. For the longest time I was afraid to do certain exercises as I thought I would hurt my back even more. With her guidance she helped me gain confidence in what I am capable of doing. I am much stronger and my sciatica is pretty much gone. Recently, I hurt my shoulder and

I cannot recommend Amy as a PT enough! I love her holistic approach to alleviating pain beyond just exercises. She's a great listener and I feel heard with my concerns and dislike of certain exercises that cause discomfort. I was able to successfully navigate back pain and a steroid shot to strive towards my fitness goals again. If you have back pain, go see Amy!!

Amy is the quintessential “full service” physical therapist. She takes the time to ask the questions to understand my background and more importantly my goals for therapy. She consistently checked in to inquire about my progress and any potential additions or adjustments. Going so far as to send over skating drills when I complained my hockey ability wasn’t where I had hope it would be. Thanks Amy!

I can't say enough about Amy Pakula and her unique, specialized and compassionate approach to patient care! This is a talented woman with a gift for what she does. I was referred to Amy and Momentum PT by another physical therapist who was equally as frustrated as I was with the lack of results I had achieved from years of PT.
As someone that trains daily (with poorly shaped hips, chronic Achilles tendonosis, migraines and an auto-immune disorder), countless PT's over the years have waved the white flag, giving up when their standard protocols didn't yield results. So, it&apos
