Services
The Loretto offers a park-like atmosphere in the middle of the urban core of Kansas City. An abundance of trees, bushes and flowers adorn the grand architecture of the early-1900s. Built in 1902 by the Sisters of Loretto, this unique property is steeped in Kansas City history and possesses memories of thousands of students and their families.
Flexibility to use your caterer professional, licensed and insured, with current health permit and prior approval*. A kitchen access fee may apply or choose from one of our Preferred Caterers. We can recommend a caterer to suit your budget and menu. However, not all caterers are suited to our venue.
We have a list of Preferred Caterers and Vendors. If you have a caterer you like to work with we can go through an approval process and there is a $250 catering fee. All caterers must be professional caterers - licensed, insured and provide full service. Our packages are designed to bring you less hassle and stress in choosing vendors for your wedding/reception.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Loretto in June of 2021, and it was the best decision we made as we had the greatest experience! The Loretto is a perfect combination of historic beauty with modern touches- from the stunning marble staircase at the entrance, to the beautiful chandeliers and pillars in the ballroom, as well as the tastefully decorated bride and groom’s suites- this venue has it all! The space is laid out well, with a convenient separate room for the bar and food buffet line. In addition, the outside space is equally great-especially with the circle drive and gorgeous

The venue is amazing. The staff is a BLAST to work with. John and Nora, you guys are top notch, helpful, kind, and are great at what they do! I appreciate all the work you had done, and for all the phone calls and texts you endured to make this wedding day a gorgeous, memorable, and running smoothly. We had a fabulous experience at The Loretto!!!
We have been working on our event for two years because of covid. It finally happened last night!! John Koop was very flexible and gracious and accommodating!!! Our bartender Gabe was fabulous!! We had so much fun and Margaritas catered our event and it was delicious! I would highly recommend using this beautiful space for a wedding and reception or any other special occasion!!!!

Everything Loretto Events has to offer is top notch. The staff was excellent in helping find vendors and day off coordination. The staff was very LGBTQ friendly. John was very social and stayed on task every moment. The venue was able to host two weddings and my party didn’t even realize it. Would highly recommend this venue for your next party or wedding.

The Loretto was the perfect space for our wedding! I loved having a separate chapel and reception hall on site and both were extremely beautiful and elegant! The location in Midtown is ideal, especially for out of town guests. All of the staff was great. We delayed the big wedding celebration due to COVID, and John was very accommodating, still letting us use the chapel on our original wedding date for a small ceremony at no extra charge. Nora went above and beyond to help at both events we had there. Even the bartenders were awesome - our guests made multiple comments about them!

I had my wedding in this beautiful place, and wow!!! I need to say that I am so glad I chose Loretto to celebrate something so special for me. The chapel and the Ballroom are so beautiful plus the staff, (John & Nora), are super friendly, detail oriented, and made the entire wedding so much easier. I definitely recommend Loretto 100%:)

Our daughter was married on 9/12/20 at the Loretto Events in KCMO. We shopped for venues in February before the Covid shutdown. The Loretto had just undergone a huge renovation and knocked our socks off. It had everything that we were looking for-an indoor chapel for the ceremony, a separate reception area (no turning rooms necessary) and it is close to hotels and things to do for our out of town guests. The venue actually has TWO separate reception areas to choose from, each with a different look. We chose the one that had a more traditional look with a separate bar area. It was fantastic. There

A daughter of my best friend knew years ago she wanted to get married and have her reception at The Loretto. It is a gorgeous venue with a chapel, two reception rooms, brides room, grooms room and if available, a few rooms to rent for out-town-guests. John Koop, the events coordinator along with all of the staff at The Loretto made sure she had her dream wedding. Not only that but they also checked to make sure the guests and volunteers for that day were good. No other venue I have ever attended has done that.

What can I say other than PERFECT!
The venue is beautiful, lots of parking and easy to find. The best thing you is Kelly! Kelly was very attentive helpful and made sure everything was going as planned. My son's wedding was beautiful and everyone complimented on how gorgeous the venue was. Thank you Kelly!!

What a FUN Sunday celebration! Many gathered at The Loretto to celebrate the marriage of John and Toni. Not only did the ShutterBooth photo booth rental of Kansas City Missouri Kansas provide countless photo opps for everyone, but we also prepared a phenomenal scrapbook during the event for the couple. Thanks to Toni and John for allowing us to celebrate with you all! The Loretto is an amazing wedding reception venue and the owner Brian goes above and beyond for his brides. The Venue has plenty of space and parking as well.
