If you have answered YES to any of the above questions (or have a stubborn spouse who is in denial) you are in the right place. We are low back pain and sciatica specialists and Doctors of Physical Therapy with a fellowship in Applied Functional Science. What this specialized training allows us to do is find the actual cause of your lower back pain and sciatica, not simply mask the symptoms like most other treatments available do.
Of the many frustrations back pain patients face, the lack of a standardized or uniform treatment approach is high on the list. Especially for those patients with longer-lasting symptoms of sub-acute pain (lasting between six and twelve weeks) or longer than twelve weeks (chronic back pain), treatment approaches are very inconsistent.
If you answered YES of any of the above questions - You have to check out this brand new FDA approved treatment called Deep Muscle Stimulation Therapy. Here at Superior Physical Therapy, we are excited and proud to offer our patients the latest technological advance for pain relief called Deep Muscle Stimulation, pain-free fast-acting treatment that works.
Trigger point dry needling (TDN) involves inserting a small monofilament needle into a muscle or muscles in order to release taut bands and decrease trigger point activity. This can help resolve pain and muscle tension, and will promote healing. This is not traditional Chinese Acupuncture.
TDN is a modern, science-based intervention for the pain and dysfunction in musculoskeletal conditions and diagnosis such as neck pain, shoulder impingement, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, low back pain etc.TDN is often a valuable and effective treatment for musculoskeletal pain.

Our bodies are remarkably interconnected from the nose to the toes. So why does traditional physical therapy ignore this essential fact? Our science based approach to restoring you to complete comfort and function is based on it. We evaluate not only the pain you're feeling, but also how your entire body movement contributes to your pain.

I have come to SPT with several injuries from a torn rotator cup to acl injury to my knee!
I have been pleased with my progress and happy to get back my normal activities.
The thing I appreciated the most were the videos of the specific exercise that targeted my injuries! This allowed me to continue therapy between sessions and sped up my recovery time! Hoping for no more injuries but would not hestitate to choose SPT again!

I was having terrible knee pain, could hardly bend my knees at all. I was told I needed both knees replaced. After just a few sessions I could walk better and by the time I was done I had almost no knee pain at all! I was taught how to do the proper stretches/exercise to keep everything working good. Knee replacement is not in my future at all right now, two years later and I am still doing great. The people they have working for them are wonderful.

Once again, the therapists at Superior helped me to overcome pain and mobility issues with my low back. Their specific attention to my own insights about my injury, and their effective approach that looked at how I use my back in real life, dramatically reduced my symptoms and got me back to the activities that positively impact my health! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone for their PT needs.

It's been years since I've been here but I never thought to leave a review until now. If you want a good PT place, this is the place to go. I was previously paralyzed on my left side, I could barely walk by the time I got to them. But within 8 months, they had me running!!! I even ran a 5k a little over a year after my car accident. I HIGHLY recommend Superior. They are phenomenal and if I ever need PT again, I'll be returning.

Having worked in a physical therapy clinic previously and having received received PT from a variety of therapists, I can say this has been the most beneficial approach to date at Superior Physical Therapy. The staff is wonderful to work with and the hands on instruction, along with videos, have been extremely helpful.

This is the fourth (and will be the last) PT I have gone to since hurting my ankle 2 1/2 years ago followed by surgery. It is the last since Superior is the best and I will never go to another facility. I am finally getting the treatment I needed from the beginning. They have worked on my stability and given me confidence that I won't repeat my injury. The therapists made the therapy fun and explained the "why" of each exercise so I was motivated to do them every day at home, too, which I faithfully do. My husband was so impressed by my improvement that he is going to Superior, too. I liked how
