Services
Saint Francis Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off color or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. We need to examine them at least every 12 months, and more often as they age, as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.
Here at Saint Francis Animal Hospital, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet. The handout on anesthesia explains this in greater detail.

Here are some questions/answers that we are frequently asked. If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call at (843)249-1988. At what age can I have my pet spayed or neutered? This depends on the size and breed of your pet if we are discussing dogs. Please ask for current veterinarian recommendation on age for dogs.

First time going to this animal care facility. Very thorough evaluation of our cat Hemi. After that staff gave good advice on what we should do to keep our boy healthy and happy. A word to the wise. You cannot go in with your pet. Arrive in the parking lot call the office and staff will come out and meet you. This is a common occurrence as we experienced this same thing with our previous vet in another state.

We have been going here for almost 10 years now and would never take our boys anywhere else. Our boys walk in like they own the office which tells us how kind and loving everyone is there The entire staff has been there for us from the passing of our precious Bear years ago to now when our boy George is having some health issues. They are compassionate, knowledgeable and have always provided the best of care for our pups

Our healthy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, age 6, saw Dr. Robert Bruner 5/18 for a 2nd opinion re a cyst on his eyelid. Preliminary heart blood work & EKG was done 6/10. No heart issue and he was approved for surgery done by Dr. Bruner on 6/14. He was recovering at home when we notice what we believed was a stitch on his eyelid had come out. On 6/18, we returned him to have Dr. Maloney to check his eye, and see what she thought since Dr. Bruner was off that day. I was told it was out but a 2-3 minute procedure with a 5 minute sedation could be done to replace the stitch needed. It sounded very

Won't let you in with your animal you are forced to wait outside and wonder. As another mentioned this could all be money driven as they can tell you anything when they call you with your animals update. If I could give them 0 stars I would as sending in a 13+ year old dog without any family member causes the animal stress it doesn't need.

You couldn't have made my visit better. I felt very comfortable with my 4 legged babies never, Dr.Maloney was wonderful. And Amanda Pollack is a super vet tech. I am so glad to bring my animals where the staff is as nice as they can be to my babies as well as myself. Thank you all and I look very forward to many years with you all.

This place is wildly busy, but extremely efficient! The staff is friendly and caring. Their love for animals is genuine! The veterinarian services are second to none! Prices are affordable for services, adoptions, and medications. There aren’t enough star options to rate this place. I travel from Harry County to this place because it is that good! Donate! Adopt! Volunteer! You will feel the gratitude and love.
