This Firm took a monumental burden off by taking the helm and basically took an insurmountable debt and reduced it to pennies on the dollar. Incredibly disappointing experience, albeit very brief. Looked at hiring Mr. Scammahorn to represent my husband and I in a complex tax issue. Talked to him in January, went to hire him in May. His assistant was very rushed when we spoke to her an hour before their stated closing time on a Friday, saying they were "about to leave" but that she'd send us info on Monday. They did, which was great. The person I spoke to today told me to call with any questions. When I looked at the contract, it stated "MINIMUM RATES" multiple times, but no maximum rates anywhere. My wife and I needed room to breathe. Our troubles with the IRS were something that we didn't think we could ever get out from underneath. My wife Renee had an IRS issue and had hired some firm from Chicago to help handle it, they got her money and she got the run around for over a year.
