Dr. Powell has provided orthodontic care since 1987. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Texas Dental School. In addition to his orthodontic training, he completed advanced studies at the prestigious Pankey Institute. Dr. Powell has also been teaching in the University of Texas orthodontic program since 2002.

After my family and I visited with Dr. Powell, we discussed treatments for my two teenagers, went over financial paperwork, and scheduled appointments. After discussing treatment options with their dad, we decided to get a second opinion due to the difficulty of my daughters case. After I called their office to cancel their appointments, I received an email from his office telling me he would not treat my kids due to his "sense of disagreement with his treatment".
I'm extremely disappointed that he now refuses their treatment because I questioned him. I find it very unprofessional

Dr. Powell is a caring kind Doctor we are very pleased with our daughter's smile after braces for 2 1/2 years. Truly a beautiful job! His staff is wonderful. My daughter looked forward to the visits as they were always encouraging and supportive. Thank you Dr. Powell and staff for giving my daughter a beautiful smile to match her joyful spirit!

Excellent place to get your braces.. Dr. Powell/Dr. Bre are very knowledgeable and make you feel at home. The staff is amazing, helpful and very friendly. This is as close to a dentist office that I actually enjoy going for an appointment...strange but true. I have had braces myself (not by choice:) along with one of my sons and I wouldn't change a thing. We will be back with our 9 year old daughter very soon.

My 12 and 14 year olds are clients of Dr. Powell. After shopping around for an orthodontist, we appreciated Dr. Powell's nonaggressive (meaning: non-painful!) approach to orthodontic treatment and he has a great staff who makes you feel right at home. Dr. Powell also does a great job personally at communicating what is happing throughout your child's treatment. My other kids also like playing arcade games and watching movies in the waiting room :) We've recommend Dr. Powell to friends and they have had the same excellent customer service & experience.

Billy powell has done my braces and my teeth are absolutely perfect! They are so straight and perfect! He has done my 2 sisters and my moms teeth and all of us had the best braces experience you would ever have. He made sure to take the time to make our teeth perfect. He is such a sweet man and makes every appointment comfortable. He is the best orthodontist you could ever have.

This is a great guy with a great staff. The mold was broken with this guy because he's one of a kind. Dr. Billy treats every patient like their family it's amazing how he remembers all of their activities. His assistant casey is great also and my wife just loves the ladies at the front desk especially Karen. Not only are they unbelievably nice but the facility is extremely clean and neat.

Beginning with my own childhood through brothers, sisters, and then children of my own there were decades with no one needing braces on their teeth. When I finally had a child that needed them I knew we would use Dr. Powell without even looking around. His reputation is remarkable and if we had to finally "deal" with braces I'm glad his office was there to help us through it.
