If you have an unresolved health problem, we ask you to consider acupuncture. Through at least 5000 years acupuncture has successfully treated billions -- literally billions -- of people, and currently is a mainstream medicine utilized by one quarter of the world's population. From mighty Chinese Emperors to clinics throughout the United States, acupuncture has seen a remarkable development.
Now it's our turn to reap the benefits of acupuncture, the fastest-growing health care method in America, its phenomenal growth due primarily to word-of-mouth acclaim of satisfied patients. Though millions of Americans have already discovered this ancient healing art and rely on it for their health care needs, many persons in need of acupuncture stay away because its procedures and philosophy seem strange and mysterious.

Services
As most of you know the acupuncture clinic has closed as of 3/20/20, with the plan of starting treatment sessions in mid April. This was a difficult decision to close, especially in these times of higher health needs. However, the herb clinic will be open for pick-up and shipping, and I will be checking phone and e-mail messages regularly.
Acupuncture needles range from 1/4 inch to several inches in length and a few thousandths to several thousandths of an inch in diameter. One inch and 1.5 inch are the most commonly used lengths of needle. The others are reserved for more specialized use. The vast majority of needles used in the US are stainless steel but copper, gold and silver are still in use.
Over 40 states, including Nebraska and Iowa, have statutes setting standards for the practice of acupuncture by professional Licensed Acupuncturist * (L.Ac.s).
Nebraska statutes require professionals bearing this title to have 3 to 4 years of specialized education in acupuncture (acupuncture study is a 3 year graduate level program, Oriental medicine is a 4 year graduate level program) and to be board certified by the NCCOAOM, the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, which sets the highest standards for training and examination in the field.
