In 2005, Maureen had her first experience with acupuncture. Intrigued with the results, she initiated further study of Eastern Medicine. As her investigation progressed, Maureen noticed a need for bridging the gap between Western and Eastern Medicine. She completed her degree at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota in 2011 and practiced there while she prepared for her return to her home in Omaha.
Maureen opened River Point Acupuncture with a goal to provide the Omaha/Metro Area with the highest quality of acupuncture available. She hopes to educate others on the extraordinary benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine, while bridging the gap between Western and Eastern medical philosophies. Maureen believes active listening is one of the most important elements of patient care.

Maureen is an amazing practitioner. I have had several treatments from her over the years. She is very attentive and thorough. I love that she has numerous years of practice in nursing, as she is also an RN/BSN. She understands where a person is coming from as they are sorting out Western medicine and looking for that “something else” in getting the whole body healthy and healed. Maureen is just an amazing clinician and person. She provided expert acupuncture and an encouraging personality, both of which I attribute to helping me become pregnant and kept me calm and relaxed my entire pregnancy. Her service is top notch. Maureen Feeney does a tremendous job making you feel comfortable. She explains how and why the treatment works, all with professionalism and a wry sense of humor. I travel from Lincoln, NE for treatment and have recently brought my seventeen year old daughter up as well.

I’ve been going to Maureen for 5 years now. She does amazing work! I usually go for cupping and acupuncture, but she’s pretty good at only doing as much as my body can handle so I’m not always allowed cupping. She listens and really cares about her practice and her patients. She’s quite simply the best!

The thing I appreciate about having acupuncture at River Point Acupuncture is Maureen’s knowledge of both eastern and western medicine. I love that she is a trained and experienced nurse while also being one of the best Chinese medicine practioners in Omaha. Her space is clean, inviting, relaxing and safe. Maureen had significantly improved my back pain and helped the healing along when I have had colds and flu. Without her treatment I would be far worse off.

I've only been once, but my life is vastly different in just one week. I've tried all kinds of things for back and neck pain, for sleeping and for digestive problems. This place is the best, probably because it has Maureen. She is a great listener and I love that she has knowledge of medicine the from modern world and from Chinese medicine. I've gone to Maureen for the last few months and I am pain free as a result. My initial visit was to work on intense sciatica pain and since then I have been pain free.
