My wife and I have shopped Jack's since we were on our honeymoon in 1988. Every year Jack and his lovely wife Sherri have a shop stocked with custom made jewelry in a price range for all tastes. Jack's specialty is tourmaline jewelry, the Maine state stone. A finer selection cannot be found anywhere. The personal service that they provide to their customers is rarely seen. This year Jack and Sherri informed us that they will be retiring, deciding to spend more time with family, children and grandchildren. Had a dispute on a piece of jewelry I purchased and we were treated very rudely by Jack. I’ve been buying jewelry for over 45 years and this was by far my worst experience.

Will not exchange or look at defective merchandise. Makes excuses for poor quality

However, quality of some products is not great. Bought a ring that was supposedly sterling silver but turned my finger green the next day. :( Happened with my other friends who bought rings as well, and a bracelet.

These were some of their less expensive merchandise so not indicative of everything they have. But just a warning.

The people working there are the nicest people and make you feel like family. And the jewelry is beautiful!

Picked up a beautiful set of earrings and necklace for my wife. The associate was friendly, answering all my questions and putting up with my (and my wife's) picky taste.

Great family, very helpful and kind. We picked up a matching Silver and Topaz set of earrings and necklace. Lots of pretty colors and different gems to choose from.
