Children are my passion and for as long as I can remember, I have always dreamt of having the opportunity to do what I love. I have been the owner and on-site director for 25 years. Hugs-n-Hearts is privately owned and family operated. We were one of the very first businesses to open in the Polaris area.
Teddy bears lined the hallways and smiling teachers waited in the doorways to welcome the first of over 4500 students to join our family. Hugs-n-Hearts was designed and built with the Polaris community in mind. We are a full-day, educational child care program designed for working parents. I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and have over 30 years of administrative and teaching experience in the early child care field.

We started this school year, fall 2014. My 3 year old was not drinking anything for 3 days straight on 90 degree days and no one told me, I was trying to figure out why he was crying when I would get him. He was so thirsty he wasn't even going to the bathroom. Also with my 3 year old, I felt like many of the teachers did not know him or show attentiveness to the children outside when playing. I also figured out out he was outside for 2 hours straight in the afternoon during the 80 to 90 degree weather. Too long for a 3 year old. My 5 year old also had trouble with the wrap around kindergarten

It's a nice facility and that's about it. The kids start off watching tv first thing in the morning at drop off and in the evening kids are always watching a dvd when I pick up my child. The snacks used to be healthy but I noticed lately that they give kids cookies, pretzels with ranch dressing on the side, and etc. I was shocked that children were given Oreos for a morning snack. I saw this when I dropped off my daughter late morning in the summer. That's normally not a time that most parents drop their children off. For the amount that they charge for tuition, it's not

We love Hugs! I can't say enough positive things about the teachers and facilities. The person who wrote the first review must have confused this center with some other place. We have never had anything but positive experiences. The teachers are like family and not only do they provide the children with an amazing head start for primary school but you can also tell they LOVE the children. I have never seen the children unsupervised even for a moment. I personally know many former students of Hugs & Hearts - who are now in their 20's - and they recognize the positive impact that
