Services
Caring for children and their families since 1981, we have worked hard to build a reputation in Columbus for being a childcare center that is nurturing, encouraging, and innovative. Being an integral part of Northwest Church of the Nazarene, we are invested in providing our children with the tools they need to grow and learn and become people who really thrive-in their education and in life.
Our goal at Northwest Christian Childcare is to facilitate a learning environment that meets children's developmental needs - where all children feel safe and comfortable and that they belong. As a result, they are helped to become independent and confident learners. At Northwest Christian Childcare, our toddler program consists of three rooms, separated every six months by developmental stages.
At Northwest Christian Childcare, our infant program consists of four nursery rooms are separated every six months by developmental stages. Each room employs the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos; and all of our teachers desire to play an active role in each child's growing and learning experience.
At Northwest Christian Childcare, our preschool program consists of four rooms, ranging ages three through five years. Each room utilizes The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, and teachers are continually working together in teams inside the classrooms and as a department to guarantee that each child has his or her needs met in their next steps toward kindergarten readiness.
Incorporated into our preschool program is a special prekindergarten readiness classroom for children four and five years of age. In addition to utilizing The Creative Curriculum, our prekindergarten program places particular effort in coordinating lesson plans, classroom activities and projects alongside our center's curriculum specialist.
