Fetter Health Care Network is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing a full range of high-quality health care services for everyone in Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties. Our organization is governed by a board of directors that includes patients, civic leaders, as well as, healthcare providers working within our service areas.
Fetter Health Care Network, formerly known as the Franklin C. Fetter Family Health Center, was established under the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) as a demonstration project initially funded by the Federal Office of Economic Opportunity. It was established to provide a full range of health care services to Charleston's low-income community.
From internal medicine to pediatrics, pharmacy, dental, and OB-GYN, our team of dedicated providers have extensive experience in a wide range of health care services. Along with the rest of the Fetter Health Care Network team, our providers are committed to providing the best possible care to all of our patients within the Lowcountry.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, your donations to Fetter Health Care Network help make a lasting impact in the lives of those in our communities. There are multiple ways to give including making a donation, providing a donation in someone else's name in lieu of a gift or donating gifts in-kind. When you give $500, your donation can provide more than 70 bus passes to patients who may otherwise not be able to make it to their appointment.

If you like having your teeth never ever use their dental services because they will just pull your teeth out, not try to save them. I went in for a broken tooth they pulled teeth that could’ve been saved, didn’t fix the broken tooth and they don’t give you anything to replace the teeth that they took. They have ruined my smile.

The customer service at this facility is absolutely horrible. Every time we were told something would be done, you always have to call back because the task wasn’t completed. I mean this is only a persons health.
A complete physical was done in May and it is now August and still no word on the status of the blood work. Was just informed after making another call two days ago that there is an app where all of your information would be located.
During the visit in March an appt was to be scheduled with a specialist. Calls have been made again and again to find out when this appt is. It is now

I truly love this place because it gave me the opportunity in my late 20s to continue getting my anti anxiety meds, see a gynecologist and general doctor for the first time, but the long waits, lack of response and inability to contact anyone by phone for anything gives it a 3 star. It took months for paperwork to get processed because no one called to let me know things didn’t get sent right. At least Dr. Johnson actually listens and cares, and the bedside practice of several nurses has been really great.

This place help you if you don't have health insurance which is a good thing ..They help out with mental health/ dentist Care / check ups . They also take everyone temperature before entering the building...You have to fill out this form just a few yes or no questions about how you feel and you have to write your temperature down after they check it and then you can Check in and be seen they also have their own pharmacy as well inside which is great for people that can't get around to get medicine but our state needs to use more funding to help get more certified doctor's and nurses .. Dr. Alex is a wonderful doctor, but trying to set an appt with this place or even get a human on the phone is impossible. After calling 4 different times over 3 weeks, I still can not get an appt or someone to call me back. You call the phone number and you get a recording, well there is no option (press this number) to set an appointment for a returning or even new patient. Once you press 1 for English, then 1 for being a patient, then 2 for returning patient, then you get 4 options well none of them are for setting an appointment. Also the option they list out for (press) 3 or 4 does not even

I had one of the worst experience's of my life at this health center. The women at the front desks were nice and friendly especially since they learned that I just moved from CA to South Carolina.
The nurse however was another story. I could tell immediately that she was not happy to be helping me. She was rude and brusque. She became even more off putting when I told her that I should have a COVID test because a loved one just tested positive.

We had some bumps in the road but it was absolutely to no fault of fetter health care. They provided excellent service and I would recommend them to anyone needing quality care. I was trying to get accomodations made for a relative and they took care of us. I would like to give a special shout out to Ms. Natasha Chatman. She is truly someone special.
