I was not expecting to find such a hidden gem when I was visiting this area. My hometown is Sichuan, China, I could say that the food here is very authentic. It is not those typical American Chinese food, but the ones you will find on a common Chinese family dining table. I also could feel that the chef is putting a lot effort and love in the food and try to perfect all aspects.
It is truly not only just a dish, but more like art. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this area. The food was fresh and so delicious, and looked exactly as it does in the photos. I will definitely order again and recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys authentic Asian cuisine.

Our food embraces local produce, pairing the flavors of Artist/Chef's Cai's childhood with fresh food from Vermont farms. The kitchen is our studio! Ingredients are the mediums to create ARTasFOODasART that is abundant, nourishing and feels like home. We are a family business which started as a booth at the Brattleboro farmers market in 2006.

Food as art! Expertly made dim sum with fresh local ingredients is one thing -- but the presentation is another level. This isn't your ordinary "Chinese Take away," it is art in food form made by this family business in the heart of Brattleboro, Vermont.
The spring rolls are fresh and a truly interesting combination of flavors. Then dumplings and pork buns are a great place to continue, and the "Box Abundance" was abundant indeed! Enough for two or for leftovers the next day.
Also the online ordering system is fantastic.

Owner/chefs are so kind and responsive. Takeout suits me perfectly. Easy parking off-street. You won’t regret ordering here if you love good Dim Sum.

Was driving home and saw the dim sum sign. Decided to stop on the spur of the moment. Couldn't of been more delighted. Cai and Adam were very welcoming. The food was delicious. What a wonderful way to start our trip home.
The dumplings were delish. The plate of vegetables were perfect.

We were very much excited to try this place, but unfortunately, were sorely let down. First, the good: the owners are very sweet and the presentation of the food is beautiful, even for takeout. It appeared the chef put a lot of thought into the presentation and took care of the appearance of the food.
However, the food itself is lacking in flavor and it was very much overpriced for what it is. The Sichuan items we ordered did not in any way resemble flavors from that region of China and were simultaneously oily and dry.

Adam, Thanks so much for staying a lil late to make me a delicious dinner! I really appreciated it...so far only inhaled the dumplings & they were amazing (1st dumplings I've been able 2 eat in 2+ yrs...terrifically gluten free!) Anytime we pass thru will be sure 2 stop (looking 4 ward 2 that dessert u described next time)

Wow, what an incredible experience! Got ginger tofu and egg boxes and red bean bun. It was one of the best meals I've had in a while, and the kale dumplings stood out. I was in Brattleboro on vacation, and it makes me want to visit again for this place!

I’ve been driving by this place for years and finally stopped and uploaded the menu from the handy QR code on the sandwich board in front!! So happy I did! The menu is beautiful and so is the food!!
I ordered and it was ready in exactly the time it said. The Sichuan noodles were so delicious! The spice was perfectly medium like I ordered! We had the beef and the pork dumplings and they were both delicious. My hubby had the pork rib let box and my son had the chicken. Both were very tasty but the pork was exceptional! I would unequivocally recommend Dim Sum to everyone who loves fresh, delicious

Amazing! We love this place - if we could eat here everyday, we would. The food is always made with fresh and delicious high-quality ingredients, and wows us every time. The care and love that clearly goes into their food makes this spot stand out among the best. The vegan Sichuan style noodles are unreal, as are their scallion pancakes and all of their dumplings. We bought a jar of their yummy chili oil and we use it at home on absolutely everything. So so lucky this place is right down the road - the owners are delightful, service is top notch, and they always take the time to exchange a few

Ordered the "Box Abundance" gluten free pork riblets, the flavor and quality was outstanding, The spring roll was fresh and delicious! Two-ingredient Chocolate mousse is a must-have. Friendly service, very helpful when I called to inquire about delivery, and arrived at my hotel well packaged and promptly. Overall amazing meal, major compliments to Cai! I'd definitely order again!!!

My boyfriend and his family went to Vermont for a snowboarding trip and we came across Cai's Dim Sum Catering. Considering how highly rated this place was, we were all extremely excited and had very high hopes for this place. However as soon as we opened our boxes, we were deeply saddened because the food was not memorable and defiantly not authentic dim sum... FYI, if you're from NY/NJ and used to authentic dim sum, this place is not for you.

This is one of those spectacular accidental finds which has become a tradition. We go back and forth between CT and VT a lot, and now always stop to pick up their amazing food - bao to die for, perfect scallion pancakes, etc. We then go sit on the bleachers at the Brattleboro ski hill and eat and watch. Perfect!

The dumplings were amazing!! (Tried the pork and beef) and the dipping sauce made them even better! Also ordered a sweet bun and custard tart, both were delicious! I just wish the bean paste in sweet bun wasn't as "chunky" but I would still order again! So happy that we saw their sign outside and decided to order, will definitely be back again soon!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would have. First off, the online ordering system is amazing and super user friendly. Second, I ordered 65 dollars worth of dim sum and it was ready in 30 minutes. Third, it was some of the best Asian food I have ever had. The dim sum was perfect and the flavors/ variety's offered were amazing. We got an order of each kind that was offered that day. There are some vegan/ vegetarian options daily. The buns (we got the pork bun and sweet bean bun) were also cooked to perfection and super flavorful. We also ordered dessert which was the icing on the cake

The best of any Asian cuisine I have ever had! Worth every penny and worth the trip! Friendly curbside pick-up and plenty of food in the abundance box. I had the chicken with two pork dumplings. Absolutely amazing! I was so happy to see no think gooey sauce on my chicken rice and veggies. It's food that screams I AM TASTY AND GOOD FOR YOU. I will order from Cai's Dim Sum as often as my budget will allow.

Delicious, thoughtful and fresh! We were happily greeted as we pulled into the parking spot outside with our take out. We had the vegan abundance bowl with dumplings, sweet bean Steamed Bun and Vietamese Spring Rolls. I would have ordered more if there were more vegan options. DELICIOUS tofu! 6/5 stars! Will be back!

Everything was so delicious and super fresh. We ordered pork steamed buns, dumplings, scallion pancake, and the chicken box. We stopped here for pick up after a long drive on Thanksgiving and were so surprised to find such high quality food. Usually you can only find a McDonald's.
Also, have to add they were so friendly! We wish we were from the area so we could eat here more. Of course we will come back next time we're in VT!
