Sometimes the problems we face need more focused attention than traditional counseling provides. Twelve Stones specializes in 3 day intensive counseling retreats, where you and an advocate join your counselor at our beautiful retreat center for a getaway focused on you. Our counseling retreats provide an opportunity to go deep and make progress more quickly.

Services
Twelve Stones is a non-profit biblical counseling ministry focused on counseling retreats for a brighter future. We've also trained more than 60 apprentices in biblical soul care in order to multiply our ministry for generations to come. Scott is our Executive Director. He has been with Twelve Stones sine 2007 and holds a Masters in Biblical Counseling and is certified with ACBC.
An advocate is a friend, fellow church go-er, small group leader, counselor, or other church leader that comes alongside you in this important season. Once you and your advocate have completed and submitted all applications, we will connect with you to discuss possible dates for counseling. Once you've found the dates that work for you, payment may be submitted in order to reserve the selected dates on the Twelve Stones calendar.
Community is essential for healthy living, and it is core to the biblically-faithful life. It provides invaluable resources, especially in difficult times. Struggles should be shared, not hidden. Therefore, community is also core to the counseling process. Every counselee who comes to our campus must also bring someone with whom they are already in close community to help them carry the load.

Twelve Stones is a biblical counseling oasis. II Peter 1:3 says "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence..." Twelve Stones does a wonderful job of leading people to "the knowledge of him" and to truth regarding "all things that pertain to life and godliness". We went to receive help and hope from a biblical perspective when we faced a series of extraordinary trials in our family. The counseling and deep care that we experienced was instrumental in getting us to look at our challenges in a fresh light. Although things did not change overnight we received tools and accountability that help us to set new patterns of engagement when troubles occurred. We needed to return again in short order for an additional issue and we found that we could again strive for peace in a very tough decision. The men and women that work there have been trained well and are very competent in their ability to listen carefully, dissect biblically, and counsel encouragingly. I've been aware of Twelve Stones since 2005 and remain a strong advocate for their ministry. I've volunteered, received training, referred multiple people in their direction, and also been a counselee. In short, they have a combination of very wise, biblically knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate men and women who are willing to enter into the most broken of human conditions and strive for godliness and healing. By the time someone gets to TS, they are usually in life circumstances that are very broken and/or very sinfully hardened. I don't think it surprising that you will find some negative

We first heard of TS in 2010 after a horrendous year of health issues and loss of a job. The counseling is biblical and spot on. This not a 3 day miracle so one should not expect to go home as a new person. They care deeply and hear your story and give you tools and practical steps to recovery. You will have advocates to walk with you after your time there. If a person is unwilling to work diligently and seriously I expect they may be disappointed. This was LIFE GIVING for my wife and I. We were able to go back as advocates for a couple struggling in their marriage as well a few years ago. They

If you want counseling from a therapist that missed the course on “the marriage is the client (not the individual the therapist favors)” this place is for you. Took sides. And seemed to be more interested in getting to the session on responsible spanking of children than dwelling on diving deeper into our hurts and defenses. I want my money back.
