My name is Gini, but I am often called by my Starbucks name - Gina, Jenny, Geanie or any variation there of. I'm 56 years old and can feel it every morning when I wake up. I'm married 28 years to my also self employed husband Bill and we have 3 kids of which, 2 are "adults" now. We've crisscrossed the country a couple times, currently calling AZ home.
I am funny and sarcastic and sometimes they are one in the same. I love hard- people, things, situations, etc and think coupling that with loyalty, is the key to success. I am strong willed and passionate which I'm sure people who know me have various interpretations of that. And I am a professional overthinker, but the pay sucks.

Gini is a gifted florist. She created the most beautiful and unique arrangements for our son's wedding. The flowers were such high quality, and so many of our guests noticed. When we initially met with Gini, she listened to the bride and provided great suggestions to complement her vision. The end result was pure perfection! We highly recommend Gini at Desert Poppy!

Desert Poppy was able to get me something like 30 ft of garland, a TON of beautiful white Lilly’s and the best smelling eucalyptus on a very short notice. Their staff was extraordinarily pleasant to work with and the products were incredible. They also gave us great tips on how to care for all of our plant. Thank you Desert Poppy!

Gini was great to work with for my granddaughters wedding. Being a retired professional designer, I knew what designs my granddaughter liked. Explaining to Gini was so easy and she went above and beyond in designing…. Everything was perfect and I could set back and enjoy the day. I would highly recommend her for beautiful weddings.

The most beautiful flowers I have ever seen in my life are here! The owner is super friendly, very honest, and a true blessing! I stop in here often to get simple arrangements for my wife because my wife like simple... However her large arrangements are breathtaking as well! We received an absolutely beautiful anniversary rose arrangement. 5-stars for arrangement, but there was a snag with delivery detailed below.
Out-of-state friend ordered this arrangement. Unfortunately we were away for several days when florist attempted delivery. Our friend said she gave instruction to call us prior to delivery but we did not receive any calls. Neighbor watching our home found the 'sorry we missed you' hang tag. We texted Desert Poppy for re-delivery and they arrived promptly at agreed time. The flowers were gorgeous but they only lasted a couple days because

I am very satisfied I used desert poppy for my wedding! Gini is very responsive and flexible. With COVID I had to downsize my order, but Gini approached the changes with a great attitude, updating the projected costs immediately. I showed her pictures of the vision I had and she was not only able to create the vision, but provided me with flower/costs options and suggestions/recommendations from her experience. She is a passionate florist who cares about her customers. I would absolutely recommend.

What an amazing shop! From the decor, to the customer service, and of coarse the most beautiful assortment/bouquet of flowers that I've ever had the pleasure of getting someone. The staff here is so friendly and very creative. I had absolutely no idea what to get my girl friend for Easter and so Iasked Gini the owner to surprise me and that she did! My girlfriend was in Ahhh after receiving them at work and told me that it was the most beautiful assortment of flowers she's ever seen.
