In 2009, Ed Maginnis moved his practice to Raleigh, North Carolina, having previously practiced as a trial lawyer in corporate and business law in Washington, D.C.
Edward (Ed) Maginnis earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. In 2010, Ed started Maginnis Law, PLLC which became Maginnis Howard in 2020. Ed primarily practices in the areas of consumer protection class actions and business litigation.
Shawn Howard earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of North Carolina, graduating with honors. He represents North Carolinians throughout the state who have been seriously injured due to another person's negligence or intentional wrongdoing. Shawn was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star for the past 5 years (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020).
Asa C. Edwards' principal areas of practice include consumer protection (FCRA/FDCPA), employment law, and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice law in all North Carolina State and Federal Courts in addition to serving as the North Carolina Chair of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, a nonprofit association of attorneys and consumer advocates committed to representing and protecting consumer's interests.
Garrett maintains a diverse practice that includes including commercial and business disputes, trade secrets and non-competition agreements, complex construction litigation, employment discrimination and retaliation claims, wage and hour claims, and assisting the firm in its class actions under state and federal consumer protection statutes.
