Dr. Shilpa is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who calls the Fort Bend Area her home. She is an honors graduate of Columbia University, New York where she received her DDS degree and certificate for excellence in Pediatric Dentistry. Her passion to work "with children" and "for children" made her pursue her advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Columbia University.
First, check with your physician regarding allergies to pain medications. Then, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on your child's face if it is swollen. You can give acetaminophen for pain, but avoid placing aspirin directly on the teeth or gums. See your dentist immediately.

Dental x-rays, known as radiographs, are essential diagnostic tools for the prevention of serious dental diseases and complications. They provide the dentist with valuable information not available through a regular dental exam. Identifying such problems early saves you time, money, and unnecessary pain.
Nitrous Oxide, or better known as laughing gas, is a mild form of sedation for children who visit the pediatric dentist and may be overly nervous or anxious about their scheduled treatments. Nitrous Oxide helps to ease patient's fears so as to help them relax during their visit, and to receive dental treatment in a comfortable and safe manner.

Good things I've experienced are: Friendly staff, good doctor. Reason I gave 2 stars is I've had a very bad experience on visits to Katy facility. We went there as my son had toothache with a tooth that he previously had an issue and got an appointment quickly and dr suggested to extract it and we took an appointment for extraction a week after this visit. Only thing that was communicated was to not to eat or drink after midnight. Appointment was at 10:30 AM and they gave some medicine around 11 AM and were asked to wait in the car for an hour(this was not communicated before) and we stayed inside

The kids recently went for their cleaning. Neither have ever left the dentist since we moved here freely (without being questioned on how it was) saying they liked the process or a specific individual. Today that changed as BOTH kids really liked their Hygenist, Kandace. I’ll agree as I stayed with them. She was patient, kind, silly, and comforting. She was fabulous with the kids but also able to have adult conversation with me. Great hiring selection! I plan to request Kandace each time we go in.

Coming to this dental office eased my concerns when visiting the dentist during this pandemic. The staff and doctors have put in great measures to provide a clean and safe environment. The Dr. explained the treatment plan in a very clear manner, and answered all my questions when asked. The TVs in the ceiling were a really cool factor too! Definitely wished I had that growing up. I would recommend this office to anyone!

The office is clean and feels safe. The staff is so nice and they explain the treatments and possible risks. Normally parents like to wait in the waiting room, but it’s understandable to have to wait in the car to decrease contact with other people and prevent the spread of Covid. It’s actually more relaxing in the car to catch up on the latest Netflix show haha. Thank you for taking action to give us a safe experience and keep our teeth healthy!

My children have been going to Healthy Teeth for about 3 years now and we’ve been very pleased with the service. I was hesitant in taking my child in during Covid but I was impressed by how prepared they were. The entire staff with masks, they took our temperature and parents were asked to wait outside during service. My child, who went in for the first time on her own, was happy and said she was very well treated by the entire staff.’

We've been coming here for years- We love this dentist! They're awesome with my children. Both of them where terrified of the dentist, had never been, and they where all very patient and extremely helpful! Cannot say enough good things about this place. Now a trip to the dentist means no tears, that's huge for us.
