Dr. Vlad Detinich graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), and continued his studies at UMDNJ to finish his residency. Dr. Detinich is an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and Middlesex County Dental Association.

There's nothing to fear with a dental exam. Your teeth will be visually examined for signs of plaque, tartar and tooth decay. Your gums will also be examined for puffiness or discoloration, which are signs of gum disease. A full set of dental X-rays may also be taken during your dental exam, to enable your dentist to see below the surfaces of your teeth.
Dental X-rays have come a long way. TodayaEs dental X-rays are safer, faster, more comfortable, and more informative than the X-rays of years past. Digital X-rays, one of the latest and most advanced dental technologies, produce high-quality images of your teeth that can be viewed instantly by you and your dentist on a LCD monitor.

Saka was the person I saw. I’m not going to say doctor because I didn’t feel like that’s who I had my appointment with. He came in wearing sweatpants which is totally fine, but to keep it brief, the professionalism and care of the entire appointment was equal to his attire.
I now get text messages about my scheduled appointments which I never scheduled. I want nothing to do with this office because it’s an absolute joke and I’ve told them that 3 times at this point. I just wanted to leave a review before I block their number because they aren’t really getting it. Terrible office, terrible

Garden State Smiles of Matawan was an amazing experience! I've recently moved to Matawan and have had the same dentist since my first tooth exam as a baby. I was hesitant at first but the staff was amazing, very friendly, very professional and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning for all of my future appointments.

I’m so ashamed of my teeth. Oh I’ve tried through the years. The money I’ve spent on root canals,crowns, and several other things mostly didn’t pay off. But right from entering this place I was welcomed and met with non- judgmental approaches. They met me and my teeth where they were at with acceptance and took the time to understand my hopes within financial reasons. Different options were reviewed, comparisons were shown, and future possibilities were examined. Doors were opened and I will be able to smile at my sons wedding.
