Lebanon Extended Day Program (MLEDP) has seven school locations and one all day summer site which meet the educational and safety standards, and accredited staff licensing requirements of the state of Pennsylvania. Our staff provides educational assistance according to the Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Care Licensing Regulations to children in grades K-5 on a daily basis.
Guided activities encompass use of math, reading, social studies, science and language arts skills along with socialization skills, indoor and outdoor play. Our staff members plan educational activities using the Kolb Experiential Learning model. MLEDP is dedicated to providing professional, affordable, and convenient school-age childcare year round while delivering a recognized, high-quality program for the children and families we serve.

Services
Formed in response to community need in 1987, MLEDP began before and after school programming in two elementary schools for 19 children and now provides care year round for children in each Mt. Spring 1986: Community Relations Board survey to the Community: results show a stated need for safe, caring places for school-age children.
The Kindergarten Care Program is a complement to the school day, giving children a safe place to relax, be with friends, play games, and most importantly have fun. Kindergarten Care is a wrap around program of care and enrichment for children who attend half-day kindergarten in Mt. At Kindergarten Care the children will have a choice of activities, some planned around a theme, and some center activities that are always available.
NOTE: Children not attending our Kindergarten Care Program who need care only before AM Kindergarten (7:00 - 8:45 AM) or only after PM Kindergarten (3:30 - 6:30 PM) must sign up for School Year Care, not Kindergarten Care. You need to add the school year rates to the Kindergarten rate to get your total monthly fee.
The School Year Care Program is a complement to the school day, giving children a safe place to relax, be with friends, do homework, play games, and most importantly have fun. The School Year Care Program provides before and after school care for children in grades K through 5. Our centers are located within the following schools: Foster, Hoover, Howe, Jefferson, Lincoln, Markham and Washington Elementary School.
The Summer Fun Program provides Full Day Care during the summer vacation for children completing Kindergarten through Grade Five. Parents agrees to pay a contracted fee each month, based upon the child's scheduled attendance per week, regardless of illness of the child or other unanticipated absence from child care including vacations.
