Services
Rode's began in 1880, when William and Fanny Rode drove their poultry and eggs, gathered from nearby farms, to market by horse and buggy. As their business grew in volume, a barge on the Raccoon Creek was also used to transport poultry to Philadelphia. Later, the firm's own trucks made daily trips to the Philadelphia and New York markets with fresh poultry.
We are closed Thanksgiving Day 2021. All pick ups will be on Thanksgiving Eve between the hours of 12-5pm at Rode's Catering, 50 Paulsboro Rd. Woolwich, NJ. Rode's succulent, roasted pigs are slow roasted in our custom pig roaster, whole (bone-in). Available for pick up, delivery or for any full service catered event. We recommend ordering a pig 1 lb in size per person. A catering representative will return your inquiry to confirm final order and provide deposit instructions.

My fiancé told me someone mentioned Rodes Barn for a location to have our possible reception there. There communication is zilch, after emailing at least 3 times and calling no one contacted me with any type of information. Whoever is in charge of their website and checking emails need to do a better job.

Once we stopped playing phone tag, Rode's was very accommodating. After reviewing their website, I gave them my planned menu and rather than just accepting it, they discussed options to keep the variety i wanted without over-extending the menu or the price. We finalized the menu and the count, and again, they reassured me there would be enough food instead of trying to increase the cost. I chose delivery only; they were punctual and quickly set it up. The guests raved about the food! As I was promised, there was plenty! Should i ever need catering services again, I will definitely contact them

I've been trying for at least 2 months to get everything squared away for my wedding which is this October. I was told that they could cater my wedding and that they would be getting an estimate and emailing it to me. I waited a week and heard nothing. Called again and was promised an update and yet again heard nothing. I've called, emailed and my mother inlaw has done the same with little to no response. Finally my mother inlaw visited the place itself and found out that I wasn't even in their system! I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know they are short staffed like everyone else

We celebrated my granddaughter’s baby shower with a pig roast from Rode’s catering. It was a wonderful experience. From the moment I called to ask about a pig roast I was greeted with a pleasant, professional staff. They were very helpful in assisting me in putting together a wonderful celebration. The two gentlemen who came to set up, serve, and carve the pig were delightful - very courteous in assisting our guests. The food was delicious- everyone raved about it. A few friends came the next day for leftovers which were as delicious as the day before. I highly recommend Rode’s for your catering

Rodes provided the food for a bridal shower I hosted at Independent Spirts Distillery and they did and awesome job. They provided delivery and set up which was a huge help. Allysa was more very accommodating with changes I wanted to make and the food was delicious and lots of it. I highly recommend them and will absolutely use them in the future.

I celebrated my PhD last night in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a tremendous evening and the place was evidently one of the reasons for this happy celebration. The team contributed in a lovely style, the cooking was tasty and my guests were very pleased. We shall surely visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

Rodes catered our daughters wedding in June and it was absolutely perfect! Due to the pandemic, the original barn wedding with 150 guest was postponed and we had a small outdoor wedding at a private residence with 50 family members. Roy, Shelley and Arlene, were our servers. They arrived timely, were professional, personable and attentive throughout the entire evening. A great team! From the butler passed hors d’oeuvres through dinner, honestly everything was delicious. In the days following the wedding, I received several calls from different guest letting me know how delicious the food was

Rode's has been around for as long as I can remember and they recently catered my Leap Year Sweet Sixteen birthday party. It was fantastic! The food was phenomenal as well as the presentation, the servers professional and efficient, and Emily the bartender was great. We had a whole roasted pig and the servers said guests went up for seconds and thirds! Everyone commented how good the food was! Alyssa was extremely helpful with the planning details and offering suggestions. A family run business keeping the tradition of excellent food and service!

Poor customer service! I wouldn't even say the food was okay. Just blah. Not to mention they also never returned a deposit on a cancelled event. Due to unfortunate life events such as cancer not even that warrants a refund with these people apparently! They have yet to rectify the situation and are not even answering emails or phone calls. Disgraceful way to handle a terrible situation! Have a heart we are human and sometimes really crappy things happen that warrant you to void out a black and white contract! Rather than make an already terrible circumstance even more frustrating and heartbreaking

Rode's was great! I wanted to have a pig roast and researched a few different places, both pick-up and on-site roasting. The on-site roasters were between $17 and $25 per person, minimum 50 people. The party I was planning was for around 30 people, so this was both too big a pig and too much money for me.
Rode's, on the other hand, allowed for any size pig, a set $175 roasting fee plus the cost of the pig (~$3.40 per pound at the time I bought it), and were responsive through email and on the phone. They gave me the recommendation for the size of the pig, too.

We booked Rode's for our Employee Appreciation luncheon for our staff in office. From the start, I knew we made a good decision. I was the go between with Rode's (Alyssa) and the higher ups in our corporate office. Alyssa not only worked with me with building our menu but was patient while we waited for corporate to approve everything. It made my job of booking everything that much easier. At the last minute (seriously, the day before) we had some employees share that they are vegetarian and GF, I shot Alyssa and e-mail and she was more than accommodating with me to supply us with 2 meals

We had Rode's cater our wedding at the family owned Rode's barn- and the food was simply AMAZING. All night long we kept hearing from our guests how great the food was, especially the pulled pork which seemed to be the biggest hit of the night. Alyssa Rode was not only instrumental in assisting in the planning of the menu for our wedding, but she also helped us plan our entire wedding period. To say she is a multitasker is a huge understatement! Alyssa ran the catering perfectly. She ran the whole wedding perfectly! Her and her staff were nothing short of amazing! They were polite, helpful
