Goody Blue Shoes brings together a collection of the most talented and experienced entertainers in the Philadelphia region. Best of all, they all know how to have fun! With Goody Blue Shoes, it's never just a performance - it's a party! John LaPalomento has been performing jazz, funk, classic R&B, and rock in the Philadelphia and Atlantic City areas for almost 20 years.
This could be the wedding you've dreamt of since you were a child, the fundraising gala that raises a fortune for your organization, or the company holiday party that gets you noticed. The crowd is excited. The food tastes great. You look amazing. The best part is that you don't need to worry about your guests having a blast, because Goody Blue Shoes is on the stage!
There really is no set answer for this. We're here to build the day around you and what you envision. Most commonly, the band will be playing as your guests enter the reception room, through bridal party introductions, first dance and special dances, and will continue to play through dinner. Once all of your guests have been served, the band will typically take a short dinner break, usually fifteen minutes long.
From the newest pop to your favorite golden oldies and everything in between, GBS brings the BEST music to the stage. Below is a sample of our songbook, but we are constantly adding new music. Keep in mind, we will customize your event with the music that is important and meaningful to you and your guests.
Goody Blue Shoes approaches each wedding as a blank canvas, and we work together with the bride and groom to paint an amazing picture as you see it in you minds. There are absolutely no words to describe how amazing GBS Party Band is! We had been on quite a journey with John and the band for over 3.5 years (thanks Covid) and they were there every single step of the way lending a helping hand (and ear, John heard lots of tears hahaha) in any way possible! The band was and still is the talk of our wedding, having the dance floor PACKED from beginning to end. We had such a blast at our wedding thanks to The Goody Blue Shoes. I honestly thought all the outstanding reviews for John and Goody Blue Shoes might be too good to be true, but I'm happy to report, that they are 100% genuine. John is a joy to work with and the band is outstanding. John and the band incorporated everything we requested, even things I mentioned in passing and ideas I mentioned that I didn't think would be possible. The songs they learned specifically for us made the night unforgettable, and John even rewrote lyrics for our father daughter dance to John Legend's Save Room. We booked Goody Blue Shoes for our wedding in September of 2020. Unfortunately, due to the COVID situation, we decided to postpone to September of 2021. John really takes the time to work with you, listen to your ideas, and guide you in the right direction. He reminds you every time that he is there to support your day and your vision. I had a Sweet 16 and I had booked this band! It was so much fun and they kept everyone on the floor the entire night! I loved that people were surprised that I would book a band for a Sweet 16 and it was a wonderful surprise because they catered to those on the floor. I would definitely recommend this band.

How many vocalists do you know who can sing Ave Maria at the church and also sing Beyonce at the reception? (mic drop) Likely, zero. We will forever be grateful for their talent, energy and charm with which they lead and guided our reception.
