We are Starrett Law Firm, a Charlotte estate planning, probate, and business law firm in Ballantyne. Our mission is to impact lives and legacies. Since opening our doors in 2009, we have counseled hundreds of families and business owners across the greater Charlotte area and North Carolina. We always aim to provide an experience that is personable, smooth, and pleasant.
It was crazy timing. The economy was in the throes of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. My wife and I were expecting our first child. So starting a business made complete sense. Before joining Starrett Law Firm, I ran my own solo practice. I began my legal career focusing on criminal and trial law but quickly transitioned to business law, in which I found much more enjoyment.
I recently moved to Charlotte, NC from Michigan and was looking for an attorney to help me set up my real estate company. I found that Allen was very organized, kept me informed and handled my incorporation in a timely manner. My husband and I were thoroughly satisfied with our experience with Starrett Law Firm.

Allen help my wife and I with a long overdue will. The whole process was smooth. Allen was always very fast and responsive to emails, and questions. Pricing was fair and the turn around time was fast. Doing a will is definitely an important thing that most people should do and we would trust Allen with this again. We have already referred them to friends and family. The only glitch was his copier was broke the day we signed our documents, but his wife hand delivered them to us to our house! His wife was also fantastic!

This review is exceptionally late but we wanted to share our positive recommendation for Starrett Law Firm. My wife and I had never created a will before, so education and thoughtful guidance through the process was needed and we absolutely received it! The process started via video chat due to the pandemic and we were able to complete the prep work virtually before signing & notarizing in person. We created a simple will as we just needed to get something in writing asap, as our second son was just born. Kelsey and I will be eager to work with Allen again once our estate plan is a little more

I recently contacted their office after a lawyer handling a civil ticket of mine informed me of their estate services. They responded back very quickly and walked over the nature of my request in regards to my father's estate. After walking through the values and items, he honestly told me that it wouldn't be worth the value in hiring him unless something came up during the proceedings following submission of the paperwork to the courts. I value that honesty and will recommend him as well as use him in the future should I need estate advice/legal assistance. He also was very courteous and knowledgeable

We decided that since we are now permanent residents of this city and state that we should update our legal documents. When looking for a law firm that had good reviews, this one stood out with a lot of good reviews.

Enjoyed working with Allen and his team. He took care of all the details in order to settle my mother's estate. Allen was great in explaining everything so that I could understand. He would check with me periodically to provide any updates of where we were in the process.

After being the executor for my sister's estate where there was only a hand scratched will and no Powers of Attorney, I decided not to do the same to my family. Fortunately, I was referred to the Starrett Law firm where Allen explained all the documents needing to be prepared to protect myself and my family. Though most of our contact was by email or phone call, Allen always provided clear and concise answers; was always responsive and professional. I could not be happier with Starrett Law Firm. They are professional, prompt, friendly and get things done. I recommend them with full confidence that you will be just as pleased with them as I am.
