How far ahead do you book? We welcome all inquiries and although weddings often book 1 to 2 years in advance, it is always best to contact us about your specific event for availability. We secure dates once a signed contract and deposit are returned to us. When is final payment due? We will send you out a final invoice approximately a week before your event date.

I cannot say enough good things about Tastings Catering. They did my wedding at Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA and were so accommodating to food, decorations, and having to deal with COVID rescheduling! They were a pleasure to work with and are extremely reasonably priced!

I cant say enough good things about this company! Not only was the food great but Sue and the rest of her family/staff were so awesome!!!! The whole process was so incredible! They’re reasonably priced, they even take care of decorating! The food was soooo great that our guests have still been talking to us about it!!! Sue went around making sure that our guests were fed and comfortable! She paid extra special attention to us as well, making sure we were taken care of during our special night! Amanda, Sues daughter was able to help bring our vision to life when we met with her! We feel so lucky

We have been using Tastings since 1996, when my husband and I got married. They have done numerous events for us, for our children and for our friends. I can't say enough good things about them. Sue is wonderful to work with, very laid back and helps make a stressful event easier, and she is a fabulous baker. John cooks the most amazing food. Matt and Amanda are doing more of the setup these days, and having learned from the best, they are fantastic as well. If you are going to have an event, USE THEM. You won't be disappointed!

Hands down, Tastings is the best! We were fortunate to work with Tastings for our wedding in September and we were blown away by the professionalism, attention to detail, kindness and delicious food!
Everyone works so well together at Tastings and truly treat you as part of their Tastings family. My husband and I were having a hard time deciding upon meals to suit all the dietary restrictions in our group, and tastings helped and was able to create new meals just for us! The food and service was amazing!

Tastings catered my 100 guest wedding at the Lyman Estate. I could say many amazing things about them, but let's go with pricing, customization, and staffing as the top 3.
We taste tested at a few caterers in the area. Some were just as tasty, but none gave you as much for your money as Tastings did. We were able to afford stationary appetizers (delicious dips and skewers), passed appetizers (fun, unique selections), dinner with several entree choices (I heard about the beef short ribs over and over and over...) and a whole mess of desserts (Sue's cakes are heaven!!) for the price of

There is no better way to say it, Tastings Caterers just gets it! They deliver high quality food with exceptional service, and reasonable costs. They are a family owned business and it really shows! They truly care about their clients and make sure they are happy with their service. They guided us the whole year leading up to our wedding, from food selections, to linens, and décor. They helped us pick a menu that stayed within our budget, while also offering to supplement our décor with their supply of items which saved us money too. My wife, daughter, future son-in-law, maid of honor, and I had the distinct pleasure to enjoy a tasting at Tastings Caterers. We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent offerings that James prepared for us. Totally Awesome!!! Sue, Eileen and the rest of the crew at Tastings are phenomenal to work with. My daughter and her now husband were changing things right up to the very last moment and Sue, Eileen and Matt(?) just rolled with it. They were extremely helpful and patient. The whole reception from the cocktail hour, to the plated meal and even the "drunken appetizers" at the end just flowed. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was! BTW - if you like spicy vegetarian, absolutely get the curried mushroom and leek in phyllo. It is to die for!

Oh my goodness. Where do we start with Tastings? Eileen and Sue were perfect vendors from beginning to end. In addition to food and cake, Tastings also worked with us for our flatware, silverware, tables, chairs, and linens. Honestly, to have that burden taken off of us was well worth hiring them just for that! But the food is really where the difference was made. They made sure that WE got what WE wanted in our food, and then it came to life and our guests gushed about the food the whole time. Perfect! they catered or wedding in April and I'm still dreaming about their food. a little bit of a rocky start with communication but when i look back on it, i didn't need to worry about anything because really, everything turned out perfect. please keep in mind they are a family business, so when they are busy catering, I'm not sure if anyone is at the computer. which is honestly not a bad thing, because they will be totally focused on you when it's time to be.

If there is such a thing as a Caterzilla, her name is Sue Zahner. The owner is absolutely awful to work with. Sue is emotionally abusive and accusational, throwing an emotional rant directed towards the bride because she did not understand our initial requests. Don't be tempted by her initial offerings - no bride should have to deal with the abuse she gives.

I can't say enough about Tastings! Sue and her exceptional staff catered my wedding last weekend, and they were beyond amazing in every possible way! My wife and my parents and I feel ridiculously lucky that we got the pleasure of working with them over many months. Sue, her family, and every one of her staff were consistently warm, wonderful, talented, capable, experienced, and professional. And their food is DELICIOUS. Our guests (many of whom are picky eaters or have dietary restrictions) are still talking about it. I wish Tastings would cater my life.

Tastings catered our wedding (June 2015) and from start to finish, were an ABSOLUTE pleasure to work with! They did an EXCEPTIONAL job on the food, drink, and the CAKE (WOW!!!). I have worked with Tastings for over 10 years, in both a professional and personal capacity. We started working together years ago at a wedding, and wedding after wedding we kept bumping into each other. She was obviously popular!
When my son was born in 2010 I contacted Sue about catering his baptism. They did an excellent job! I was so impressed how it was like having family there with me. They kept out of the way, were responsive to requests and when they left, it was like they were never there. They packaged up all the left over food (which was stolen by guests because it was so good!). People

Tastings did an amazing job at our daughter's wedding! People are still raving about how imaginative, beautiful and delicious the food was. Guests were graciously treated to summer drinks at the ceremony site outside, which made them feel welcome and set the tone for the wedding. Sue's staff has been with her for many years and it shows. They are totally competent and service-oriented and look genuinely happy. Sue went out of her way to include vegetarian and gluten-free options that delighted our guests. Sue added many free options that made the wedding site a standout, like wrought iron lanterns

Tastings was fantastic. They were the most reasonably priced caterer that we met with, and Sue and Eileen are both very friendly and easy to work with. The food was fantastic, and our guests keep talking about how they all went back for seconds! Sue is also REALLY into desserts, so there were LOTS of desserts and three flavors of delicious cake. They also set up all the chairs for the ceremony, and then changed the room over twice for us. Everything went smoothly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I would definitely recommend Tastings to a friend, and would consider hiring them again

Now that the wedding is behind us, my opinion of Tastings has only gone up.
The food was amazing. So much so that people are STILL raving about the ravioli and asking if I had any leftovers. And the cake topper that was supposed to be frozen for our first anniversary? Um, yeah... That didn't make it a week. Every last detail was taken care of and my high expectations were exceeded. Tasting's has group tastings during certain times of the year and I highly recommend attending if you're on the fence. Tastings Caterers catered my wedding recently and they were great and very, very affordable. The food and service were both great and people are still raving about the appetizers. I was very happy working with Sue beforehand. One thing to know is that they are closed on Mondays.
