German Village Guest House
German Village is not a recreated historic village; it is a lively neighborhood dating to the 1840s-1890s that has been restored and preserved. Our cobbled streets and sidewalks lead to densely built houses, urban gardens and subtle architectural details. Every few blocks you'll find one of our unique shops or restaurants situated among the houses as they were when the 233-acre neighborhood was settled.

The German Village Guest House hotel is a bed and breakfast just one minute south of downtown Columbus and less than 15 minutes from John Glenn International airport. Our modern and sparkling boutique hotel rooms and hotel suites are rated a AAA Three-Diamond Hotel and have achieved 'TripAdvisor Ranking #1 of B&B / Inns in Columbus Ohio.' and was voted 'Best Hotel / B&B in Columbus' in 614 Magazine.

We had a lovely weekend. We arrived to pleasantly cool rooms, an assortment of delicious fruit in a welcome basket and spotless perfectionism reflected in the cleanliness of everything. We'll stay here again next time and we hope it's sooner rather than later.

We just spent the weekend at Whittier 1, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on. I just wish I had looked to see the type of mattress! The apartment was clean and the refrigerator was well stocked. There was also a variety of snacks from which to choose. The location was super, and there was only once that we had trouble finding a parking place. Should we ever find ourselves back in Columbus, we would definitely stay with host John again!

We stayed in the 1st floor Whittier suite and our friends stayed on the 2nd floor. We had a wonderful time and found everything we could have needed during our stay. From the great breakfast assortments to snacks and beverage options, the spaces were well appointed. We were within walking distance to many great shopping and restaurant options.

This overnight stay was well worth it. The location is wonderful, coupled with a beautiful interior makes this a must. The complimentary food alone allows for a wonderful wake-up call. All-in-all, I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking to stay overnight in the Columbus area.

The German Village Guest House was great! The house is located on a quiet street with all of German Village in walking distance. I was able to park on the street in front of the house each time we returned from a drive.
The house was very clean and fully stocked with supplies. Cookies and milk were waiting for us when we arrived and a light breakfast of fruits, breads and fresh made yogurt was set up in the morning. We had access to a full kitchen (stocked with tea & coffee), dinning room, living room, and a huge courtyard behind the house featuring a fountain and a outdoor fireplace.

The German Village Guest House in Columbus, Ohio has a range of accommodations options, from a modern guesthouse with several lovely bedrooms with baths that share a communal kitchen and lounge areas, as well as private suites that give you the big city feel with absolute privacy. Recently, my significant other and I had the pleasure of staying at the Whittier Suite One with king bed, which was essentially our very own apartment, furnished with class and with just about every amenity one might expect.
The living room, featured at the top, was artsy and modern, complete with a great leather couch

We stayed in one of the Whittier Suites this past week and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is amazing and the room itself was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Dozens of restaurants, bars and shops within a 5 minute walk as well as Schiller park - which was a great place to explore with our dog who was traveling with us. John prepared the room for our dog in advance and not only had a fresh pitcher of iced tea and cookies waiting for us when we arrived, but also a bowl of water and some treats for Willoughby. It was so thoughtful! The kitchen was stocked with even more
