That same year he founded the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Center of Reading, in his hometown of Reading, MA. The center is one of the longest established acupuncture practices in the region and has treated thousands of individuals. He is also on the medical staff of Winchester Hospital, where he practices out of the Center for Healthy Living, a program he initiated in 1996.
Joe is a STAR certified Cancer Rehabilitation Provider and currently works at the Winchester Hospital Cancer Care Center providing acupuncture to people with cancer to aid in the treatment and rehabilitation people battling this terrible condition. Joe has also been a core faculty member of the New England School of Acupuncture, where he has taught a variety of graduate level courses in acupuncture practice and theory.

I have always been curious about acupuncture and decided to give it a try in January. I've been dealing with severe dry eye syndrome, debilitating muscle spasms due to Multiple Sclerosis, and a desire to realign my mind/body connection. What I found at Acupuncture Center of Reading is a gifted practitioner of ancient Chinese medicine. Joe Kelliher has a calm and kind disposition combined with a true passion for helping people. My experience with acupuncture in his care is nothing short of remarkable. My symptoms and discomfort are going away and for that I am grateful.

I was recommended to see Joe Kelliher by my chiropractor Dr. Jones. I have had a hamstring muscle tightness issue that was so bad it is effecting my quality of life. I had 4 chiropractor visits and 7 therapy visits and it was only a tiny bit of relief until I went for acupuncture. I just had my 3rd visit tonight and I am almost back to normal. Although my chiropractor treatment helped get my body aligned and the therapy exercises were working slowly getting my muscle relaxed and back, it was definitely the acupuncture treatment that really began the healing. I recommend all people try acupuncture
