Do NOT let this place scam you. The admissions people will say anything to get you to come to this “luxury” rehab but it’s nothing but lies. They basically purchased a laguna beach front home to lure people in. But even that home is hot & dirty (there was a grocery sack full of VOMIT from who knows how long ago under my bathroom sink). The food comes from a catering company cold and they run out of other groceries and leave you with very few options for breakfast and snacks. Most of the staff is friendly but Gina was very rude and unwelcoming. I had maybe two conversations with her and she

Great staff, great houses. Good mental health/cbt groups. Fun outings, plenty of store runs while in rtc. Detox is in a Laguna beach home. Extremely beautiful! Would recommend 9/10

It was the best rehab I have attended
The mind to body and meditation yoga and focus on mindfulness are key to ongoing recovery. I also bonded with all the staff and clients

I flew from IL out to Monarch Shores to get treatment. First, the pictures are very misleading and so is the website. There was a lot advertised that we didn't get, including the "nutritious meals" which were far from it, their caterer is the worse. My experience in detox was overall great. Fernando runs a great crew in the house I was in. I was comfortable, my needs were met and I felt safe. When I was moved to residential, the house itself was super hot and muggy. Since I was coming off detox that made me feel worse for a bit. For how much insurance pays, air conditioning when

This place actually worked. I am now 52 days sober! I was discharged 21 days ago and I am feeling better than I have ever felt in my whole life. I am truly happy. I never thought sobriety would be so awesome. This facility changed my outlook on the world entirely.

This was my first time in rehab and hopefully the last. I voluntarily came here to work on myself and get control of my drinking. I’m an alcoholic and couldn’t stop without treatment. Monarch stood out online but in person exceeded my expectations. The staff is amazing. They are real, honest, supportive, friendly, helpful and never for a moment did I feel judged. The housing was beautiful and the activities were an unknown bonus. I’d recommend Monarch many times over. The people I met in rehab were all from different backgrounds and addictions. Uncertain if I’d have in common anything,

I cannot say enough good things about Monarch Shores. I spent 90 days here and it was truly life changing. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The tools and support I gained from them is something I will forever be grateful for. The housing was nice and clean and fantastic accommodations.
If you're looking for somewhere to help you with you're recovery I highly recommend Monarch Shores.

I am very grateful to be sober and healthy. I’ve just completed the program and wanted to share what I experienced while at Monarch Shores. The website photos are not correct nor are any of that descriptions on living conditions. The detox house was OK and I felt the staff was compassionate and did the best they could. After detox, When you move on to the 1st house, be prepared for filthy living conditions. The catered food that was provided was sub par and most always some kind of chicken. I had one good case manager named Don. I also was happy with my therapist Sarah. As far as the actual Curriculum

I really can't put into words what Monarch Shores did for me. I am so fortunate that I was able to start my recovery there. From the time I was picked up at the airport I felt so comfortable and welcomed and not judged or looked down at. I was able to detox in a comfortable setting and I was very well taken care of. I was able to sleep, eat, cry, scream etc.. and I wasn't rushed into groups and phase 2 houses and that made me able to detox fully then move on and actually be able to be a part of groups and go to meetings and not be miserably detoxing!! From the moment I walked into m2

Monarch Shores proved to me after countless previous experiences, to not only be a legit and compliant organization, but they truly have top notch staff throughout the company. They are community building, compassionate and most of all a village that treated my disease in the most gentle soul connecting way! Truthfully I can say it was hard to leave rehab this time
Trust in the process and your life WILL be forever changed in a big and better way!!! It MUST start with you wanting a WAY BETTER LIFE. !!!

Simply put, you get out it what you put into it. I had the best experience at Monarch. I was there for opiate addiction, but I was 100% ready to quit. The staff is THE best. They are so caring & gentle. My house was all girls, 6 girls total- each of us with our own BS & life experiences but we bonded like a family.
The food is the only thing that leaves something to be desired (which was the reason for not rating 5 stars). When you're staying at a place for 30+ days the quality of food is kind of important. Although they did say they were in the midst of working it out with the catering

I went to monarch shores and got a lot from the therapists, case managers and our house manager. They cared about my best interest and we always there for me. While I was there, a management change was in process and the management is horrible. I went three days with out my medication because of the medical staff. This was a common occurrence with many patients at the facility. One patient was without his medication for a week. This is not productive to getting sober. They fired a lot of staff and I have had three therapists in my 30 day stay here. There is now 1 therapist and 1 case manager for

My daughter got her life back because of this place, I got my daughter back! Monarch Shores offered great counseling and a soft holistic approach, that really seemed to resonate with Cassidy. Everyone is so warm, patient and understanding. It made this new transition for my daughter a lot easier than if she was just a number somewhere else! We also got STD while she was gone so she was able to keep up with her bills which was a big concern of hers! She has 90 days sober now! Thank you Monarch Shores!

Do not trust them! They promise a fully staffed medical team which includes a doctor upon arrival, not true! Unless you're already detoxed at a professional facility or hospital, they are not equipped to handle anyone needing medical treatment for alcohol withdraw, which is a service they promote they have the capacity to handle. I had to beg and finally called 911 myself, at which time they would NOT even provide the dispatcher their address to come help me after I had been seizing, and they allowed my blood pressure to get to 175/113 and did not have the staff to help me. I had to beg

While the rehab treatment here is fine......the clinician team does NOT do their jobs. Paperwork left until the last minute. If you are going to check in here and need your FMLA or short term disability funds while you are out of work----get your caseworker's name and number and have a family member STAY ON TOP OF THEM. My family member is long released and still has not seen a dime. Cannot even get them to answer the phone to get the form signed properly. Admissions Jason was excellent in his job however.....

A good friend of mine has struggled with addiction since his teens. He has been through multiple rehabs, but hallways falls off the wagon after a short period of time back in the real world. I had largely lost hope in him ever leading a normal or happy life. Luckily, after his last particularly bad bender, his family wanted to give treatment one more shot. We got in touch with Monarch, and their admissions staff were so helpful and caring. They stayed late to ensure my friend got in that night. It's been a little over six months and my friend is still sober. Just as important though, he is
