Old Mill Rehabilitation provides post-acute care in a distinct environment. Today's healthcare consumer demands a better approach that the current long-term care system can offer. Often those qualified for a Medicare short-stay choose to return to home prematurely, due to the undesirable alternative offered by the long-term care system.
Transitional care is an optimal setting for patients that require a regimen of skilled therapy or nursing care following an acute hospital stay. Our highly qualified therapists and nurses are skilled and experienced in working with adults of all ages who have a variety of orthopaedic, cardiac, and neurological conditions.

Services
At Old Mill Rehabilitation, we provide rehabilitative services and skilled nursing care for people who require a regimen of therapy following a recent hospital stay. Our services are for those who no longer need to be in a hospital but are not quite ready or able to go home. Rehabilitation - Including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy Services - all are available seven days a week.
Everything about Old Mill is of Quality, but most importantly is the positive attitude, knowledge, professionalism and sincere empathy of every person with whom I've interacted. From the dietary aides delivering my food, Camilia, Linsey, Sarah the Nurse that gave me my pills at 2 a.m.- I am leaving to many names out.

I was a employee here and witnessed neglect on majority of you guys family members. This was my very first cna job very first so my heart and love was so new and fresh and this was a horrible experience I reported the nurse to the DON CAROL, and was fired on the spot that was my third time reporting neglect I don’t recommend working here or even living here the food had rodents in it, the care was soooo inhumane. And to the families I tried to fight for and speak for I’m sorry but I wasn’t able to do much I took it up with APS and job corp. nothing came about due to lack of evidence but watch

I would not recommend this place at all !! My mother was there for over 3 weeks . Was bathed 1 time in 3 weeks . At meal times they left her food on a table across the room which she was not able to walk so when they finally got it to her it was cold ! Also the call button is worthless I witnessed my mom hit the call button to get help to use the bathroom after 15 min if not longer I struggled to help her get outta bed and to the bathroom. I then went down to the nurses station where 2 nurses sat eating chips and candy and gossiping when I asked them to go help her I got attitude. I hated leaving

I stayed there after surgery. I found the daytime staff either incompetent or having a really bad attitude. The way they handled me with the wheelchair caused a hematoma and a second surgery. I came back after the second surgery and the bed was made with the bloody sheets still on it! The care taker on the night shift was wonderful. I wonder how they kept her there.
Now a couple of months later I have scabies. The only place I could have gotten it was there.

My Dad went here after hip replacement and had nothing but bad experience after bad experience. From attendants turning the lights on at 3:00 am to update the board to nurses giving him meds he didn't need, we could not wait to get him out of there! I understand COVID protocols, but the way they isolate the residents to their rooms is ridiculous!

Not recommended! My husband recently had knee replacement surgery & after being transported to OMR, was not greeted by staff & delivered to his room by the transportation driver. 2nd night there, he calls me to say he is having chest pains & vomiting, but that no one was responding to his call light. Finally, after yelling out for help, someone came into the room & he asked them to check his blood pressure. She responded by saying ‘we don’t do that.’
I met my daughters at the facility, and after contacting the administrator on duty, we had him transported to the hospital. The ‘nurse’

I can’t say enough about the Old Mill Rehab Center. I have been here twice in 3 years. First a car accident, and then I managed to fall and break my hip. The PT/OT and nursing care is beyond expectation, even during the Covid19 period. OMC provides everything you need with a resort environment that makes for a speedy recovery. Pleasant surroundings and a stellar staff. Thanks for the great care💕❣️

My mother is there right now, and the place, except for the physical therapy, which is extraordinary, is the pits.
The building, when you enter and walk around, is beautiful. The rooms are large and have plenty of chairs to use. There are many private rooms scattered around that allow families to relax, visit and let kids be kids.
Having said that, the nursing care is very, very poor. The nursing staff sits at the far end of the hall and does, well, I don't know. My mother has pushed the call button many times, and it has taken almost a half-hour to get a response at most times. (Makes

Disappointing. That would be my one word review. Old Mill Rehab came highly recommended by the staff at the Med Center when my mother's top two choices were unavailable. The issues we dealt with over the course of her three week stay (be prepared for a 20 day stay, as that is what Medicare will cover and they make sure to have concerns up until the 20 day limit) included:
1. lost paperwork from the hospital
2. rehab equipment that was not wiped down
3. a night nurse who passed out in her room
4. an unwillingness to connect and disconnect the ice cuff for the knee she was rehabbing

I took my grandma to old mill after she was hospitalized for breaking her hip. The staff treated her so well she did not want to leave.
The facility was clean. The care she received helped here to quickly get on her path to recovery.
I would recommend this place to anyone. Obviously, no one wants to find themselves in this situation, but if you do, this is a good place.
P.S. the food is great!

Bottom of the barrel facility that is mismanaged and does not pay enough to attract competent staff. They play the pass the buck blame game when things go wrong. Things constantly go wrong. Dirty dishes in the cafeteria. Pain meds go missing. Draw your own conclusions. If there was a true emergency I do not trust that they would respond appropriately. There are real problems at this facility. You have been warned.

Grandmother-in-law is staying for rehab. The room was dirty from the start. We pressed the call button after 15 minutes of waiting without a response to use the rest room , we cancelled the call and assisted her ourselves. Her lunch was 30 minutes late. Upon arrival the staff broke her mirror and didn't acknowledge doing so by saying sorry or even trying to pick it up. He then asked if she would like something to drink and she asked for chocolate milk. After waiting for an hour and half I went to the kitchen to get it myself. The staff was setting on the counter talking to a coworker. They said

They had a 10 page "contract", staff could not explain rules, a "nurse" came into my room and said "you need to take off your clothes so that I can see all your skin and make a report to the doctor". When I refused, he became angry. Not 10 minutes later there was a knock at my door. Before I could say anything another man came sauntering in to write a schedule on my wall. I found another nurse and told her I was leaving. She said, "You cant." When my husband came back we walked out. I called the doctor who said"I dont want you to stay somewhere you

This place is a hell hole. My father was in here for not even a week. They did not follow the doctors orders. He was on a no sodium diet, when I went to visit him he told me he woke up from a nap to biscuits and gravy and bacon. He was hungry, so he ate it, cold, but only half of it because he didn't want too. I talked to the nurses it's like they didn't care. He was supposed to be weighed daily, because of his CHF a fluctuation in his weight due to fluid retention could cause cardiac arrest. I bet you can guess what happened next- he passed away from a heart attack. Like would it have been that

So far, I am not pleased with this facility. Finally after day 5, they showered my mom. Five days!! Yesterday, we overheard the aide outside of her room complaining about my mom's weight (she has had cancer and takes meds whose side effect is weight gain). Communication is poor, phones are not answered, and clearly the staff has ussues. I will be attempting to speak to the administration on Monday. No one should be treated this way. I am truly disappointed.

I am extremely disappointed in this facility and just want others to know the experience my family has been through.
My father had a stroke and was staying here for regular PT, OT and ST, as well as ongoing care due to his incapacitated right side. Most of the people are kind and on the initial walkthrough, everything appeared fine.
However, he has now fallen 3 times under a CNA's care, has been to the ER twice due to the falls (falls caused more swelling. He is a stroke patient - head trauma could be fatal). The nursing staff does not always dot 'i's and cross 't's

They were so attentive to my needs. They would refill my ice water before I even had to ask at times. They made sure that I kept up on my pain meds. Majority of the time they would answer my call light in a matter of a few minutes or less. Sometimes they were like ninjas and I wouldn't even know when they came in my room and refilled my ice for my leg. Lol. There were times that as soon as I hit the call button they would be in the room with whatever it was that I was going to ask for aftwr knowing my routine.
Every person truly cared about my needs.
I broke my right leg and my left

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! My mom came here because she was recovering from surgery. We chose it because it was new and because it's not a nursing home, only rehab.
When she checked in, they talked a good talk about the food and the staff and the opportunities for residents, like daily bathing. During the four days she was there, no one ever offered to help her take a shower, so my sister and I had to do it. They didn't change her bedding or empty the garbage. The food was bland, despite their claim of gourmet food.

(See previous review below for more information.) Lucky us! My husband had another orthopedic procedure which required a three week rehabilitative stay. We, of course, chose Old Mill again. When we arrived it was like a family reunion. There are few new staff members (that's a good sign to me--they are careful who they hire and the people who work there are happy, even though the standards and expectations are very high), so nearly everyone who greeted us remembered us and greeted us with hugs, laughter, and memories of my husband's previous stay last November. What a welcome! One interesting

I am surprised, even shocked, by the previous review. I wrote an extensive review on Yelp. I'll be brief here.
I have no explanation for the previous person's difficulty in getting medication on time. Perhaps it was due to waiting for physician orders or slow pharmacy delivery. My husband never once had a delay in anything. The nurses were so "on top of things," the physical and occupational therapists were kind and pushy at the same time once they realized my husband was highly motivated. The nutritionists were superior to standard institutional programs (even to my picky-eater husband). My family
