10th Street cultivates and grows kind, empathic, intellectually curious, intrinsically motivated serious learners who are willing to take learning risks in order to deepen their understanding and who believe in the beauty of doing ones personal best.
We begin each year by building a solid foundation of caring grownups (parents and teachers) who share a generosity of spirit and kinship; who embrace joining together to learn, know and grow oneself and one another and who are committed to bringing and applying that knowledge to the world outside the Red Door.

10th Street Preschool has dramatically changed my life and the lives of my children for the better. The director, teachers and administrators are 100% committed to serving the children's best interests. My two children currently attend and they are thriving. My older child started the school with diagnosed special needs. The director and teachers provided phenomenal love and support to our entire family and I'm thrilled to say that my child no longer meets any special needs diagnostic criteria, he is thriving socially and he takes tremendous pride in being part of the 10th Street Community. I recommend

When looking for a preschool, my husband and I wanted to find a school that would provide the safe bounds and warm environment in which our son, in his earliest of years, would be able to explore, experiment, frolic, make mistakes, get angry, be frustrated, fall apart – understanding that it would be these experiences buttressed by a supportive, insightful environment that would help him begin to develop and internalize the robust internal architecture, resilience, and relationship with himself that would allow him to fearlessly explore, courageously confront, and joyfully embrace all that the

This is a wonderful school. There are so many enriching and fun activities woven into the curriculum. The children learn to work together and cooperate through play. My child has grown from a serious and shy toddler to a confident, inquisitive and joyful "big kid" because of this school. This is a preschool that is all about the child. The sweet bungalows and big house form a perfect magical environment for a child's first experience away from home. It feels like home but is a school. Above all, my child has run to and through the red door everyday for the past 3 and a half years because of the

We have been at 10th Street for 3 years and love the school's warm, welcoming spirit. My daughter is in her third year and is in the Pre-K Group (which prepares children in their last year for kindergarten readiness). My son recently completed 10th Street's Little School program and is about to start official preschool. Both my children have developed confidence, made amazing relationships with friends and teachers and are enjoying school. The school really practices their saying "Come from Kindness, Learn through Play." The teachers and staff care about each child and are able to respond if they

10th pre school was a god send for our family. We put our son in public kindergarten after just turning 5 and after plenty of heart ache we learned he was not ready. We had lots of friends who had a fantastic experience with 10th street and we were able to get him in a just as 10th st sarted their year. That school year started out tough but 10th st turned it into one of the best years ever. We saw our son grow in ways we hadn't yet imagined. He became more social, more skill full, and began to love school so much he would come home and play pre school. He learned everything he needed to start

When my husband and I started our preschool search we had pretty clear ideas about what we were looking for. We wanted some place that had structure yet flexibility for exploration. We wanted a place where we all felt welcomed and supported. We wanted to see happy students and engaged teachers. Upon meeting Cindy and touring the school we knew we had found the place for our family. Their toddler and little school programs really set the student up for success in preschool. Not only does the child get familiar with the school, student body and teachers but the parents get to know the families and

We have been at 10th Street Preschool for 3 years now and our daughter is about to graduate and head to kindergarten! It has been an amazing 3 year journey at the school and we have seen our daughter thrive in so many ways. Our daughter is confident, socially extroverted, has made valuable friendships and loves all her teachers! To see my child run into school with a big smile on her face and want to spend all day at school is a gift that any parent would want!!! The 10th Street community is wonderful and Cindy runs the school with a clear vision. When we were looking for the right preschool for
