A Loyola College graduate in Biology and Philosophy, he continued on at the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School. He has practiced dentistry for over 22 years, and is now bringing a more visionary approach to his dental care. Dr. Egan incorporates an awareness of some of today's mind-body healing modalities that make for a more relaxed dental experience.
He has an extensive background in CranioSacral Therapy and is an avid practitioner of Yoga. His energies in these areas allow him to bring to his patients positive effects that begin with relaxing in the dental chair, and can go beyond to whole mind and body well-being. I had been going to Dr. Egan since I was a kid. When I was 19 I went in to have the bonding replaced on my front tooth which I had chipped when I was younger. He put full veneers on BOTH front teeth (only one was chipped & had the bonding) without me really understanding what the procedure was. I didn't know they'd be shaving my teeth down to nubs or that they'd have to be replaced approximately every 10 years or what it would cost. I didn't know I'd never be able to whiten my teeth with them on. I would have never gotten them. They also had a rough edge near the gum line that recently began making

The minute you walk through the doors of Serenity Dentistry, you immediately feel so welcomed. It’s a beautiful office with the most friendly staff I’ve ever met! Dr. Michael Egan delivers high quality work and always has me leaving be office with a beautiful smile! I’ve gone to many dental offices in the past and none of them compare to Serenity Dentistry. I asked for copies of documents I signed twice and they still have not provided them to me. said work to be done for my husband was for one side of mouth and began working on the other side. then took another 3D image of his mouth to charge more money again on top of what I agreed to. office has gone downhill
