When the clutch pedal is released and the clutch disc starts to rub against the flywheel and pressure plate, it generates friction and heat. **November 2021 update: We've used Greg's Garage a few times this year, and every time we get our van back there's a new problem. I'm not 100% sure they're at fault, but it seems like a crazy coincidence. I'll be doing repairs myself now, or taking it somewhere else in the future.
** March 2021 - We bought a car that had the check engine light go on just days later, and we brought it here to get it checked out and fixed. They were extremely nice, and got us our van back in a week. It would have been sooner if we hadn't dropped it off on a Friday. I'm not at all annoyed by that, like it seems other

I have used Greg's Garage twice now. Each time it was for bigger issues with my vehicle (both separate problems). Both times they have been courteous, knowledgeable and super helpful. They are a bit pricey but it is completely worth it as they explain what needs to be done, why things should be done and give you a report of everything completed including pictures. They are even great about checking for things that you may have missed with general maintenance and asking if you would like that done. They are definitely my go-to shop when my vehicles are giving me trouble!

Okay service but if you are a young adult or female you will get taken advantage of!! I am a freshman in college and went there and saw that it was just 150$ to get the car scanned and i told him some things that were wrong with the car and didn't tell me there was an additional cost until after. I tried to ask him and tell him why he charged me an extra 150$ and he just kept saying i signed the paper instead of explaining it to me when i told him. And also when i did pay i went to go start my car and it wouldn't turn on!!! 300$ to look at my car and doesn't even work at all now

I have used Greg's Garage for service on both my cars. Everyone there has been nothing but nice to me. They were polite over the phone when I made the appointment. They took care of what I needed done professionally. The prices are reasonable and they don't pressure you into anything. Really appreciate the good service I have received and would recommend them to anyone.

Took my truck into gregs garage for a oil change and some minor repairs. I asked them to be sure to check the battery, the rep said no problem, The next day after I picked up my truck up I was left stranded ,I had to replace the battery and the alternator . I took my car in to get the air conditioning diagnosed and fixed and my front suspension checked because it was making a grinding sound when I would sharply steer to the left or right as I start to take off. I took my car to Greg's Auto for reasons being that my AAA Membership gives discounts on labor and I heard good things about this garage.

Looks like the auto repair business model these days, and the one that Greg's garage follows, is once they have a customer in the shop is to find and make up repairs to inflate their profits at the expense of the customer.
I needed an air-conditioning fix and after I delivered the car got a long list of repairs and an estimate that was in the multi thousands of dollars. Three of the items they listed I had just done and another was a totally unnecessary charge. So caught them red handed. A whoops and jovial response didn't work with me and I stopped all work and picked up the car.

I have worked with hundreds of car dealerships and their service departments over the years and Greg's Garage ranks at the top. My car overheated during a long holiday weekend and my vehicle was towed to Greg's Garage. When they opened for business I received a call from Mike a service advisor and he told me what to expect regarding the progress being made on my car and an accurate estimate. The courtesy and professional manner in which my car repair was handled ranks as the best. I don't give a lot of compliments unless they are worthy, and Greg's Garage deserves a 10.

Took my car in to repair some leaks. Paid $1,700 $500 for the parts and 1071 for the labor she only worked on it for half a day and the great news is that my car is still not running Michael has been the worst mechanic I've ever dealt with because when I took my car back so he can check it out he told me there's absolutely nothing wrong with it just so he don't have to work on my car hey Mike thank you for ruining my car. I am sorry to report that I am incredibly disappointed with Greg's Garage. I have been coming to Greg's garage for all of my auto needs for about 5 years. Before I owned my vehicle, it was also taken to Greg's garage. Every year I have gotten routine maintenance and always leave paying $500+ .
This year my car began to overheat and as always, I scheduled an appointment. Every time I come into Greg's garage I am treated with cold and short responses, which is fine since I don't come for conversation; however, it is frustrating that they don't seem to recognize me or my vehicle.

Read the stiry abiut the guy whose daughter was charged over 700 for a Starter replacement. They said they included a student discount for her. Funny, I paid exactly the same as her and I am not a student. I was shocked at the Horrific price. Not only that, they said my oil sensor was broke and replaced it withought asking me. Another 40 dollars tacked on. Will refrain from going there again.

Once again, a problem resolved with my Audi Allroad Quattro by this top notch team, not just the singular mechanic working on my vehicle but a team of experienced individuals working the issue along my friend Greg, the owner, all involved in getting my car back in service, let alone the forward thinking and recommendations to maintain this marvelous 2004 auto to factory specs... they miss nothing. So, because of the two day delay getting my car back I couldn’t check the “time” box however, please note that was in no means the fault of my mechanic or “The Garage” due to unforeseen and odd land mines found on the road to repair. Most impressive here is that Chris out in front for me and the mechanic and Greg plus likely more were involved in the issues with my Audi. Literally ten hours of labor was spent on my car and yet... First time here because I saw the TV ads. Brought my daughter's Hyundai in because it needed a starter. I would have done the job myself but she lives in a condo complex and can't work in the parking lot. I've owned and worked on dozens of vehicles over the past 35 years ranging from 1950's to 2000's. I'm not someone who usually takes a vehicle to a mechanic but I live 4 hours away and couldn't get the time to haul her car to my home.
It was apparent to me that the Bendix was not engaging in the starter. Spoke with Jeff

They fix what they say they are going to fix - this is the second time I've had a vehicle worked on by Greg's Garage and the second time I've been satisfied with the work.
They charge what they say they are going to charge.
They will pick up and drop off your vehicle.

Ok so need an oil change call these guys up and mike answered. Asked about an oil change and told him I wanted to know what filters and oil they used. He sighed like he didn't care. Just had a attitude like he didn't want to be bothered. So much for their commercials. Can't find a good place here to change oil and it's really annoying

From my experience it truly is hard to find auto repair shop that you can trust, and go the extra mile to find the source of the problem. Greg's garage identified the problem after three shops failed to. They fixed the problem right away and was very professional and polite in their follow-up to make sure my car was still running good and looked into hey check engine light for free when I thought it might have been related which turned not be. I am so grateful for the professional and friendly team at Greg's garage I'll never go anywhere else and would suggest the same

I have two later model vehicle's. A GMC S-15 Jimmy and a Nissan pickup. Both needed a lot of work. From my experience Greg's Garage dose great, honest work. My vehicles run better then ever. Top-notch service. These guys are professionals that come recommended by high-placed people in the automotive repair industry. They do it right. And NOT by cutting corners or telling you what you want to hear. They will even tell you how scams and "deals" work in the rest of the repair industry so you're not fooled if you look elsewhere. They won't accept parts brought to them because they want to control the entire repair chain so they can ensure their work is impeccable. I can only use so many words to express my sincere gratitude for the service I received at Greg's Garage. My vacation ended abruptly in Tahoe with a car that would not stop overheating and I could not make my way back home to Orange County. With a recommendation to Gregs Garage, and the only ones out of the 13 other shops I talked to, they were the friendliest and most helpful on just the phone!

Super helpful and efficient! Got my car towed into their shop since it would not start even after attempting to jump it. Lance pulled up its history and informed me of recalls my Lexus had on some parts. Didn't push me to purchase anything, just wanted to inform me which was honest of him.
The problem started when my key broke from the base and transponder and got stuck in the ignition. The battery died afterwards. When I ordered my new key, I could not fit the transponder back in so I've just been using a new key with the old base close to it, and my car wouldn't start. Lance knew
