The preschool years are such important ones - the years when behaviors, value systems and attitudes develop and emerge. Each individual child deserves a loving, safe environment that promotes a sense of wonder and discovery in learning. Our approach allows us to offer a stimulating environment where your child will be encouraged to develop intellectually, emotionally and physically.
We value an inclusive environment that respects the uniqueness of each child, thus, they are given the respect and attention that they need to develop and grow. Our low student-teacher ratio ensures that each child receives this needed attention. At the heart of the program, it is our desire to nurture within our children, a concern and kindness for themselves and those around them.

The North Carolina Division of Child Development awarded The Jewish Preschool on Sardis a rating of five stars - the highest score a preschool or child care center can receive. This rating is based on three different areas: program standards, staff education and compliance with state child care regulations.
Our extraordinary playground provides countless opportunities for play and both physical and social development. It includes a 4-foot-wide bounded rubber mulch trike path where children can safely ride their tricycles, as well as stations that help develop more than nine different physical skills, such as muscle control and strengthening of the upper body.
We use the creative curriculum which is centered around play based learning. Learning through play is how children begin to make sense of the world around them and understand how things work. Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their gross motor skills, fine motor skills, cognitive skills, imagination, and emotional skills.
At The Jewish Preschool on Sardis, we provide experienced, dedicated staff that is committed to excellence and genuinely cares for each child. Our staff is made up of teachers who are chosen for their professionalism, as well as their caring and compassionate personalities. In addition, our teachers have degrees in Early Childhood education or a related fields.
You can also call our office at 704-364-8395. Kosher Charlotte offers a hot lunch program for JPS students, at a separate cost to families. JPS is closed for all Jewish and legal holidays, as well as teacher workdays. The Jewish holidays fall out differently each calendar year. Parents should expect school to be closed for the High Holidays (September/October), all of Passover (April), and Shavuot (May/June).
