Our design guarantee starts at the very beginning of a project: If we cannot provide a remodeling plan within the estimated budget range agreed to at the Initial Consultation Meeting, we will refund 100% of the Design Agreement Fee. It's really very simple: if we can't do the designed project and keep it within the established budget, we will let you know BEFORE we ever begin.

Worst experience ever. Extremely unorganized. Very messy. Had to stay on top of the project myself every step of the way. Sales person was unfamiliar with construction practices. Had to change designer as the first one did not listen to our wishes and her plan did not even make sense in maximizing space. Once construction began the framer came out and built a wall with a hammer and nails. No nail gun. Really! On top of that it was not even part of the plan we signed off on. It was from the plan of the original designer. It ended up having to be ripped out. The framer was so discussed he didn’t

My interaction with New Spaces was brief.....but enough to know that they were not as friendly and accommodating as their web site would have you believe. After having provided my budget to Jennifer, her estimate for what would be needed came in well over my figure....over $15,000 higher.
I sent back an e-mail asking whether we could do some of the work ourselves to lower the price to something closer to our budget......and she never returned my e-mail.

We worked with them recently on a kitchen remodel but had to part ways after paying for their design. They claim they do things differently than other contractors and I would agree but not in a favorable way. Unlike others who will provide a more detailed bid up front and even basic designs, they will only provide a vague bid with promises that they can work within your specified budget. To get to the next phase with a more detailed scope of work you will pay a large design fee. In our case, they created three designs that were 20-40% over our specified budget. Highly recommend you take the time to get to know this company prior to making any decisions about remodeling. The process from design through construction is very well done, but it is even more about the people and we say they are exceptional. For some background, we first used New Spaces to complete a 2007 kitchen/living room remodel, and most recently had them complete their fourth project in our home when we decided to upgrade our basement from a wide open playroom to a more formal living and entertainment area. The designers always took the time to develop a plan unique to our needs and tastes

I would not recommend New Spaces because my experience with them was sub-par. At first it was all bells and whistles...and then the project dragged on. After 4 months of being passed around to 3 different designers, we still have no set design in place and no budget has been broken out. Their communication is terrible. I would email a question and would never receive a response. I would then call and receive yet another apology about the timing. And then still wouldn't receive an answer to any of my questions.
